I hate it.
why
it makes sure teams go out and play during the away leg
just like tonight

This.
Its not perfect, but it does something very important which was really needed.
Otherwise, you'd see bus parking for 90 minutes constantly.

I'm a fan of the away goals rule.
But I think it should disappear in extra time.
I.E. Last year Chelsea vs. PSG. A team shouldn't advance IMO by hitting an away goal at the very end of extra time.

However, I hate it in the sense that it can just kill an exciting game with 35 minutes remaining like it did tonight.
it deserved to be killed at that point, we had outscored you at our place as well as yours. If it had been a fight they would have stopped it.

actually that means it did what it was intended to do.
The away side went out and attacked and played in the first leg giving them the advantage to play what ever type of game they see fit in the home 2nd leg.

I don't mind it. as an Arsenal fan, they have no one to blame but themselves for always putting a shite performance in the first leg. That's on them.

lol congrats on the win for one of your clubs but we had easily created more chances until the second goal.
Fat boner in the end but your post was dumb.
The away goal rule is terrible, one of the worst in sports, and I say that as the fan of a team who has been on both ends of it many times.

Of the 6 legs in 3 years we've unquestionably been the better side in 5

Better than penalty kicks, which they might as well just toss a coin instead.
Posted on 3/9/16 at 5:58 pm to TheWalrus
It's actually one of the few things they could have gone with that are worse than penalty kicks.

Anybody else with two European teams in their list are figs too but if having company makes you feel better.

I'm sorry you're upset yet again tonight after losing to that same little club you acted like didn't even belong on the same pitch with you a year ago.
last year we beat you with your own player who you did nothing but talk shite about and this year we just flat out steamrolled your asses. I would say we're going to make it 3 in a row next year but you're not even going to fricking qualify

I never talked shite about Luiz if that's who you're talking about. Always liked him.

Your two home goals were a deflected free kick and a bad GK error. We out chanced you for 70 min. today. We played both games without either of our first choice center backs and our striker and best player came off injured today.
Again congrats, you guys deserved it but it easily, easily could have gone wither way.
Maybe this is the year you get past the quarterfinals. Until then you're still a European lightweight.

Away goals are terrible. If the best you can come up with is that teams would park the bus then accept those shitty tactics.
They should play until a team scores more than the other. Add an extra sub if necessary. Let the game be decided on the field.
