Just get it for the match.

Should be a fun exhibition today. Here's to an entertaining match with no injuries.

Feel for Brewster there. Pretty sloppy first half did us in.

Go get Thiago

Basically a game of two halves... Naby and Taki changed the game for us.. we were playing some good stuff there for a stretch..

Yeah, I think Klopp should have brought Brewster on for the last 10 minutes... tough miss for him, but I dont read too much into this match...

Credit to Arteta, it looks like he has Arsenal headed in the right direction...

I agree, this type of match is begging for a Thiago...

I like the move to bring him on for the penalties. He's a great young player, and I'm sure Klopp will back him again in a big moment again and Brewster will capitalize.

We also need another CB if that means never playing Fab there again. He is one of the best holding mids in Europe and playing him out of that position affects our effectiveness in a number of level. Anyone curious if Shaq gets any PT this year?

Heard the announcer say he called the Swiss national team coach and said not to call him up because he recently slipped or something like that in training and has a slight knock. Dude seems made of glass

I pretty much posted this in the transfer thread, but If United get Van De Beek, I think it’s likely that Barca turn their attention to getting Wijnaldum from us. And in the event that happens, you gotta imagine Thiago would be a done deal

I know both teams had barely had any friendlies and the rustiness/lack of fitness was pretty easy to see, but that was the perfect example of why Thiago would be so useful for us. Milner/Gini/Fab is way too defensive of a midfield 3 with not much creativity. Keita coming on helped a ton besides his 2-3 dumb mistakes in the defensive half.

2 of Thiago/Hendo/Keita would be great to partner with Fabinho when we need to break down a defense

Also I love the beautiful man but Alisson is not good at penalties

I don’t think any keepers were stopping most of Arsenal’s pk’s but I wanna say Alisson guessed wrong 4/5 times

He’s saved us so many times with his incredible shot stopping though so can’t complain too much

Salah didn't get very involved in the match but you have to take that with some context. We were playing without our most creative player and his usual partner on the right flank in TAA.

Without Keita in the game early we weren't going to get creativity from the midfield, so everything basically flowed down the left through Robbo. It is definitely frustrating watching VVD and the holding mids pass the ball back and forth, but Arsenal were putting everyone behind the ball. Without a ball carrying CM in the game and someone like Trent forcing them wide, there just weren't going to be a lot of pockets of space to exploit. They didn't really have to defend the entire pitch.

I'd be fine if we subbed Alisson out of the game any time we went to PK's, I don't recall him saving a single one since he arrived. I get that the save rate is low, but he's remarkably bad at stopping penalties. His positioning is probably his best attribute though, and PKs eliminate that. One thing I've noticed is that he seems to go right nearly every time. I think he and Oblak are the two best keepers in the world, then man just sucks at stopping pens

Getting close to just closing my mind to the idea of adding any players in the transfer window

Where there’s smoke there’s usually fire, so I assume there has been some sort of communication between us and Barca regarding Gini. Once/If that deal happens, I also assume the Thiago signing would follow quick.

I mean we have another month with the window open... So I think it's a little early to be saying that (also we have added players, but mostly youth guys)

Historically, the FA Cup winner is the Champion of England. The winner of the first division is the winner of the first division. Just saying....
