I gotta say, Fabinho looked excellent at CB today... I still want a new CB, but he was great today...
That team Chelsea rolled out today was trash, but Werner is still a threat in behind..
At least we got this road match out of the way early, while they have some key players out...
Sadio MotM (obviously)
edit: I see Fab got it instead..

75 - Half-time substitute Thiago completed more passes (75) than any Chelsea player managed in the entire match. Since full passing data is available for the Premier League (2003-04), his 75 successful passes are the most by a player who played a maximum of 45 minutes. Control.

Yeah Fabs was great there today. Could certainly be our “oh shite” CB. Looked more reliable next to VVD than Gomez.
Good match overall. Really like what Thiago brings to our midfield, so excited to watch him this season.
ETA: and yes, Sadio was on another level today. Going to miss him when AFCON starts...ugh.

AFCON got delayed. Fabinho played very well at CB. Am thoroughly enjoying Frankie crying about the red card.
On to Arsenal with a brief stop in Lincoln city first.

I don't get how he can complain... Like that was as clear a red you can get

#cpfc have lodged formal bid of £19m + £6m for #lfc striker Rhian Brewster. If agreed, contract would include a buy-back option in Liverpool’s favour of £37m.

That would actually be a pretty decent fit for him I’d think. They’re not super great options, but he’s still be behind Ayew and Batshuayi
Similar to Hoecer though, I’ll absolutely take that money for a youth prospect with little to no senior experience
Exit: thought they brought Bats back permanently, but it was just a loan. I guess that’s better long term for Rhian considering Ayew’s getting older

They still have Benteke too, right?
Yeah - thats not bad money and all... and if he blows up (like Ings) £37 isn't a huge price for a striker thats scoring goals.
I'm not convinced he's the type of striker that fits our current system, but he's young and can add to his game.

Rhian Brewster to Crystal Palace gathering pace. Palace prepared to pay £25m and agree to a buyback option. #LFC

Lets try this in the right thread..
Anyone else watch?
Minamino, Jones and Shaqiri look really good, even though it was against Lincoln Ciy...
Origi... well I still think we should have sold him last summer... even though he got a goal at the end..

Watched it sparingly. Agree with your assessment. Tsimikas had some good play as well.
Origi may have well sat on the sideline til he scored. Really hope we see more Shaq and Minamino this season.

Minamino is fricking relentless. I love the way he plays. I think he will do well if anything happens to Bobby or he needs a rest.
Jota creates chances. Brings intelligent runs and high-motor pressing. Love this signing.
Tsimikas is going to be great in relief. Loved what he brought as far as getting activity in/into the final third.
Elliot definitely has promise.
Curtis Jones... holy shite. This kid is DAMN good. I hope we can somehow hold onto him.
We need to sell Origi. I love the guy, but his style just isn’t a mesh with our system I don’t think. He needs the ball at his feet a ton, most likely as a target CF. Great ball skills and snapshot abilities, but he is clearly not a winger.
Shaq was really good. That free kick was world class. fricking laser.
Nothing but good things to say.

Apparently Neco has blacked out his twitter after getting abuse from “fans” following yesterday’s win. Insane.

This is just so stupid... people are horrible..
I'll admit, when he was trying those roulettes through three defenders and turned it over, leading to the 1st Goal.. I was thinking, who do you think you are, Zidane?!?!
I would never harass the guy on social media..
Anyway, he's young and will learn... these are the type of matches to learn from..

We have some really crap fans (need proof, just head over to the U.S. fans FB group)... The mistake wasn't great but we freaking won 7-2, I ain't that concerned about it
