Never seen so many empty seats at Anfield for a match
I know its a nothing mid week match but I am still surprised

It almost looked like they didn't open the 2nd level of the stand across from the cameras... It doesn't bother me, we'll see a packed Anfield when the season starts

NVM, saw him let that one sneak in behind him.

Jesus we were shredding them open, playing ridiculous FIFA ball. Realize its just Torino but...

The speed is insane.

Anyone remember how painful some of the preseason games were from like the last 5 or so years? Square pegs in round holes everywhere.

Totally different story this year. We've come so far.

Now you have me going down a wiki rabbit hole of shitty LFC from the Hodgson era.

Who know Paul Konchesky is still playing professionally? (East Thurrock United in the North League South)

I had such high hopes for Danny Wilson.

Who signed off on 4.5M for Christian Poulsen?

My first season of really following LFC was 09-10. I got in at the wrong time and rode it all the way down and now back up again.

maybe i'm naive, but imho, wijnaldum is proving himself to be a top class midfielder and capable of starting on any team in the world.

i just don't see how Fab could or should get the not over him

I’m only going with one new mid fielder on opening day- and yeah that is Baby Keith most likely.

I am a big Gini fan. For the life of me I don’t understand why there was talk about selling him.

I have always been a huge Gini fan and don't understand AT ALL the grief he gets from Liverpool fans for doing the exact job, at any point in time, that Klopp asks of him.

I was going to get Gini on my kit this year, but I just went Milly instead... because Milly is closer to my age.

Seriously. WTF, dude is so damn versatile and always seem to deliver big goals and top performances when called upon.

I also agree it would be a mistake to sell him. I assume the thinking is that we’re gonna be in a bind to move at least one midfielder tomorrow and Wijnaldum would be the easiest to sell for close to his true value.

I just think with the money we spent on him he'll get the shot first... We could see Gini for sure, and both will 100% play this season. So ready for this weekend

I like Wij a lot. But he also has some limitations. And it can be hard to balance a midfield with he and Henderson in it. And if you add Milner, forget about it.

He can play a nice interchange of small passes and movements. He recycles well. He does a much better job defending and cutting down lanes than most people give him credit for. But, he's not going to break anyone down. He rarely plays the great ball in to anyone (though there have been a few) and he completely disappears in some games offensively.

Very very useful player on your team, but with some big limits. I'm wondering if he won't play further forward this year at times and be able to run at people, which is something he's pretty good at.

For those #LFC fans with undying hope...Liverpool adamant no incomings today. Not much activity in other direction either, Danny Ings will go to the wire, with Palace the only concrete bid so far, though Saints remain interested and a preferred destination
Will be a boring deadline day for us. I’d imagine we’ll still offload some guys out to Europe in the next couple of weeks but that’s interesting about Ings. I know he wanted to leave but I doubt he wants to leave England altogether

I would doubt there is any demand for him outside England...

That’s actually a good point. I mean sure he could probably do a job for some small team in France or Germany, but they’re definitely not gonna pay anywhere close to what we’d like

Wonder what that means for Solanke...

We should lower our price and let him go...

On the Gini topic... he has played all over the midfield for us and even as a CB... with no CAM coming in and Ox out... Give him a chance to play as our most advanced mf'er... I mean, prior to coming here.. he has always been a winger/#10...

In regards to the window, this one was quality over quantity... Think it was very good, but cant help but feel we missed on a couple of key areas and are still very thin in others...

I cant wait for the weekend!

A loan to a Championship side would be nice IMO.
