I know someone that's travelling through Europe and they happen to be in Madrid for a few days. She had no idea this was taking place until she got there.

Yeah, go to a city expecting to experience a typical Madrid day. Nope, biggest sporting even of the year and the city is overrun by drunk English dudes.

I’m basically a run of the mill plastic fan (albeit for a good while now) on the other side of the world that has never even been to Britain and I’m so nervous I haven’t eaten yet today. Even after consuming a certain appetite stimulating substance. I can’t imagine what it feels like today to be involved with the club as a player or management.

Yup. Count me in that group with you man. This game has had me on edge for three days!
ETA: Just thought about the level of poetic justice if we were to win the CL in Madrid the year after losing to RM, and RM not even being a factor in that competition this time around.

I’ll be at the corner bar in College Station if there’s any LFC ags in town. I’m in town for a wedding. Saw that place is the AO chapter’s bar here and called them up to make sure they’re playing the game. Aggies play at 2 in baseball today so I’m hoping the match isn’t relegated to some small TV
