Dude. No it wasn't.

They beat us, no matter how you slice it.

Ramos is a dirty POS but I refuse to have that kind of mentality.

Dude. Yes it was.

Its part of the game. It happens. There are plenty of dirty players. Every game has plenty of contact and people fall and bump and elbow and jostle all game. 99% of the time everyone gets up and is largely fine. Ramos is just a @#$@ who seeks the opportunity. He probably looks at it as body blows that take little hit points off of the opposition, but this time got him more.

Its just what happened this game effectively took out our best player and the player whose mistakes would be most costly.

Never said we lost because of it. Hell, we weren't favorites to begin with and likely lose anyway. Just said it was decided because of it. Kind of hard to see how their could be any other opinion, really.

There's no victiming here - just reality that what happened actually happened and it had an affect.

IMO, I think it affected the game, but in the end we lost to a better team.. that said, injuries are all part of determining the outcome of a match.. some go your way, some don't..

I didn't need that match to know that Ramos plays dirty...

I do appreciate the information about what could have led to the Karius mistakes... it makes a lot more sense to me now..

However, I'm already over the loss and looking forward to building on this season's progress...

Yeah I’m not sure why everyone thinks this is an excuse.

- Is Ramos a dirty POS? Yes.
- Did he likely affect the outcome of the game, by intentional or accidental means? Yes.
- Did we win the game? No.

It is what it is. Excuses, reasons, intentions, finger pointing, none of it matters. We lost. That’s it and all that matters.

Doesn’t mean I can’t complain about what a rat shite Ramos is.

Haven’t seen it posted in here but Liverpool is interested in a winger from Nigeria.

Simon for 10 and Shaqiri for 12 would be low risk due to the price tags and provide the depth we need across the fron three. Shaqiri I know and think he would thrive in a back up role (though playing a ton) anywhere along the attacking front with proven EPL quality for a terrible squad. Moses I don't know but if Klopp likes him than I like him. This is way more plausible with the way JK and FSG have been doing really smart business the last couple of years. This also frees us up to make a serious financial commitment for GK if we fill out our front three depth with that kind of money instead of a Zaha, Pulisic, Lemar rumor that was never going to happen for a back up. Fekir us going to happen, this is the price of doing business with Lyon. The only question I have is are we in the market for a VVD partner? I guess we'll see but even the crazy rumor mill this time of year has been quiet as hell on that front.

He's actually like 40 though.

And I'm with you fellas. I'm just ready to move on from the final. Bottom line, it's over and I think we all can agree.

Onwards and Upwards.

LOL, he is the oldest looking 26 ever. Seriously though I like his old looking arse in a back up role. What's your opinion on CB and if we really splash the cash for Oblak or Allison?

If we splash for a GK, I'd honestly be okay with VVD and Lovren until at least January... Lovren made massive leaps forward in the second half the year alongside VVD, I'd be okay giving him more time to prove he's a true starting CB

Doubt it. Think that’s more wishful thinking than anything

I wouldn’t hate Shaqiri at that price, but I like Malcom a lot more. He reminds me of a young left footed Willian. But saving money here would open up money to spend on a GK.

I highly doubt there’s anything to Oblak. Interest is there for Allison, but I doubt we get him unless the price tag drops. I’d love to have him but understand us not wanting to spend £70-80m on a keeper cause that does seem ridiculous. Latest rumor is we might be interested in Leno from Leverkusen. He was pretty underwhelming last year though and I think he’s pretty like for like with Karius so I’d rather us actually go for someone that would make a difference vs someone that will just compete for the spot

Obviously I haven't seen anything of Simon other than his highlight vids but man he reminds me a lot of Mane...

If it’s not Allison or Oblak due to money than I sure hope we have a fricking plan for that because I wasn’t sold on Loris before but now I am extremely concerned. I’ll even take a veteran who still has a couple of years but can perform at the highest level for a bit. shite, IDK at this point but if we start next year with Karius between the sticks we have failed this Summer.

Disagreed. I’d rather go with a young Karius that had one bad game than panic buy

Well, the final score was 3-1 so, duh.

But how might things have been different if they hadn't had the luxury of seeing our biggest offensive threat walk off the pitch after 30 minutes? Because they changed their attack and their defense after that happened because of the change reflected by Mo's exit.

And maybe having a non-punch drunk GK would have been nice too because, personally, I don't think the medical professionals and specialists in Boston are inventing a story about that just to cover for Liverpool.

But, yeah, 3-1... those "dark arts" that teams like RM use sure are mysterious in their effectiveness.

I wouldn't define acquiring a true world-class GK as a panic-buy.

I would describe it more as evidence that Liverpool, Klopp, and FSG are doing whatever it takes to be a world-class club and to stay there.

What other world class keepers are out there that we could afford and are interested in leaving their current club? (Not trolling, serious question)

Like I'd fricking love to get Terrible Stegen, but he's not moving to Liverpool
