You're an awful TD.com posters -- congrats.

To the original poster.....you are an idiot sir! My Father is from El Salvador and I was born in NOLA. He cheered for El Salvador and I cheered for the USA. Stop being such a sour puss and enjoy the game. Also, I would assume you are not a very well educated individual by your original post. Keep up your shallow redneck views buddy!

The worst part is their Welfare that I pay for is what most of them used to buy tickets to the game. Hope it was worth it to see that arse kicking, enjoy your Ramen Noodles and water until next months check bitches.

Seriously.
I consider myself a level headed person. I try to understand all points of view. But if you're going to leave your home country in search of a better life for you and your family, and you take advantage of all that the U.S. offers....then route for fricking El Salvador when they come to town...please return to your home with your team. Die in a fire.
That's just pitiful.
weird outlook.
if you identify as el salvadorian why wouldn't you cheer for el salvador?

how many in the crowd today do you think were born in El Salvador?
The majority I'd imagine. Doesn't really matter to me. If you are second generation and identify more with El Salvador than the US..by all means have at it.

I hope you're just trolling. The Salvadorans all work up here in DC, and work hard. They literally do the shite no one else wants to do.
I just got back from Baltimore a little bit ago. A large majority of the Salvadoran crowd were old enough to be first generation immigrants - totally okay for them to cheer for their homeland. The younger generations were in blue mostly, but I saw a lot of them with something to show that they also root for the US, and they cheered when we scored. Very respectful and friendly crowd for the most part. Some were shitty but they shut up when the arse whooping stepped up.
And OP, you're a fricking retard.

Agreed, but even then if you have lived in the damn States for most of your adult life you shouldn't be throwing shite at Donovan. There is absolutely zero reason they should hate him in that way.

Yeah, the part where they threw trash and hard objects at our players and then tried shining laser pointers in our eyes kind of makes me agree with OP, at least a little bit.
I don't mind first generation peeps rooting for the homeland.
2nd gen... eh. If I was born in France to US parents I would probably be pretty conflicted. It depends on which culture I feel more attached to.
But all that Messican-like bullshite? Yeah, they can go frick themselves, especially if they are citizens.

And there are people who work AND receive government assistance. A lot of them, actually.
But that's not the topic of this thread and really has no place here.
Whoever brought up welfare is a fricking moron.

this.
I had a blast. We chatted up a bunch of Salvadorans and Hondurans before and after the games. They were mostly first generation immigrants simply happy to see the team of their homeland playing in their new adopted country. Many of them cheered for both ES and USA
They also had the utmost respect for America and repeatedly told us how much they loved working and living here. What we saw was very much genuine. How anybody finds a problem with all of this, I don't know
