So I thought the whole Flo issue was they used VAR to give a red to a play the ref deemed not a foul in real time and they just did that again here?

That wasn’t the issue at all, it’s happened a lot.

This match is why soccer will never be anything in our country. Such a joke of rules and officials and corruption

Potential penalties have always been subject to VAR review. There have been others in this World Cup.

New soccer fan here..
Wtf is everyone's problem?
That was one of the best games of the tournament.
I think Mexico was highly undisciplined but they never gave up. England was favored and they showed why they are so good.
And as far as the "dirty" playing, both teams had their part.

Doesn't seem to be an issue so far.

it ended up not being as big an issue as many thought...

it helps to score 2 goals rapid fire, one of which was just sloppy ball handling by Mexico that gave England possession with great opportunities to score and they did...

hats off to England to hold them off with 10 men

this was surprising to see... they were pretty sloppy with the ball, and had they been more tight with their possessions, especially in their own 3rd of the pitch, i don't think they lose this game

England played exactly how i thought they would. Slow build up, helped frustrate the crowd and then any time Mexico went forward they were playing a little too fast.

Slow build up,

i think this was a very important factor... them sorta not pressing at the beginning helped them not get absolutely wore out towards the end, b/c that's when the altitude was to play a factor... at the end of the game... but them slow rolling in the first 30-40 minutes, that basically helped them still have legs at the end
