Beckham must be making BANK on ads this World Cup.

In this match alone I’ve seen him in commercials for the following:

-Frito Lay
-McDonald’s
-Bank of America
-Home Depot
-Stella Artois

Apparently that specific ref has a reputation for being incredibly strict.

How are ref crews assigned for the World Cup

Like do the same officials work the same group(s)? Or are they assigned to a general location?

It’s not a recap show per se. It’s a late night show Fox is doing in local affiliates. More for casuals I’d assume

That is what you'd call a diversified portfolio

Still better than when Fox tried to shove Fernando Fiore down our throats in 2018

He's also an Ambassador for Verizon so I'm sure those commercials will be coming soon.

Only if he says "can you hear me now?"

The referees (match referee, assistant referees and 4th official) are usually from the same country and are assigned as a team. They’ll move around the country I would think and be assigned to different groups for their assignments. It’s pretty rare they would see a team more than once unless it’s very late in the tournament. Also, they’ll be assigned to games not involving their home region

Czech CBs lost focus quite a few times. Both goals but other times too.

On the winning goal I have no idea what the CB was doing. He was jogging back until well after danger established and then decided to finally look to see if there was a runner who was already past him to score.

This is going in the match day thread too, but Jesse Marsch needs to close his cocksucker.

I hope they lose so badly that he gets fired mid-group stage.

Good to see Fox got Darren Fletcher as PBP. He leads TNT's Champions League coverage in the UK.

Telemundo is so much better than Fox. They’re showing the pregame stuff going on inside the stadium. Will Arnett is screaming at midfield and now the flags are parading in. Fox was in commercial and now they have the heads yapping over the ceremony.
