I was probably very close to starting a thread just like this one. Glad I held out but I'll eat crow.
He seems to have gotten the players to buy into whatever he is selling. They sure play hard and that's a huge improvement over what we had against Jamaica last WCQ.

Well, that's embarrassing, I don't know why I thought we lost to Jamaica. Guess I have mentally tried to block that game from my memory.

Quality bump. 17-1-1 since this thread. Going off FIFA ranking lost to #13 Swiss on road and tied #17 Wales on road in that span. Beat #11 Mexico in 2 finals since and swept everyone else.

I scoured the thread to see if I made some dumbass comment. I could've sworn I at least replied to the thread but never did. Recall agreeing with a lot of people's sentiments though so I will eat crow as well. Have to love the job Berhalter has done... amazing where we are and where we can be.

It hadn't even been a year since he was hired that many were calling for his head. Think about that...Lots on here didn't even give him the benefit of the doubt after such a short period and he had to take over a dumpster fire of a program.
I'm not saying he is THE guy going forward. The jury is still out for me (WCQ and WC will be the ultimate test), but I'm optimistic that we are moving in the right direction at least.

Sounds like I had waaaaay too much to drink that night. What's crazy is just a couple weeks after that loss he got Dest to commit, then Musah not long after. The commitment to the culture has been validated and I definitely apologize for my previous comments
