Arsenal has to capitalize this week. Spurs play ManU and Liverpool the next two matches and Liverpool plays at Huddersfield and at Spurs.

We have at Swansea and Everton at home. Ground has to be made up right now.

What's everyone's thoughts on letting Giroud go in the Aubameyang deal
It might not be the popular opinion here but personally I don’t like it. I think Giroud is better and especially vital when you play the lower tiered EPL teams that park the bus and you need to have someone who can win balls in the air.

However at least we are spending some money and making moves so I can’t be too upset.

actually it's stupid. we well have welbeck and laca as our only options for europa league. Not winning that means no cl next year. Unless we go on some crazy run in the league. Just dont see it.

Arsenal is a cup team now.

be upset, because you are still down a player if you let giroud go. Giroud, Sanchez and Walcott? thats too many goals out of the team in one window.

We’re gonna play Aubamayeng a lot in the league, so Welbeck And Lacazette should both be fine for Europa. We’re five points back of fourth, it’s not like we need a crazy run to get there.

Finally it’s not just about this season. Our odds of making the CL no matter what aren’t great, but now this summer you go into it with a marquee player to attract further signings. Sign a tricky/pacy winger, a DM, a CB, and a back up RB and we’re off to the races. Selling Giroud is required to get PEA, and you don’t not get PEA for Giroud

Merry-go-round: Giroud was lined up to replace Aubameyang at Dortmund then got offer from Chelsea & was keen, so Dortmund turned to Batshuayi. But Chelsea baulked at Giroud fee so discussed Batshuayi/Llorente swap with Spurs, which nobody agreed on. Deadlock #AFC #BVB #CFC THFC

We believe Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has left Dortmund airport in the last half hour and is believed to be on a private jet heading for London.

Arse, how do you think they'll lineup? Will he go 2 forwards with Lacazette and Aub at same time or split time between them? It would seem retarded to have either one on the bench .

I wouldn't mind seeing a lineup like this with either Xhaka or Elneny. I also wouldn't mind a 442 with Ozil on the left, Mhiki on the right.

My guess though is that Wenger plays Iwobi and sits one of the forwards, because he's Wenger.

Arsenal lose a youth player to Barca.

The 18-year-old, who has played at Arsenal from under-6 level, has agreed a three-year deal with the Barca’s B team.

McGuane has the option for a further two years in Catalonia, while Barca have inserted a €25m buy-out.
