Both day clubs are for sale with in a week of each other

Liverpool will be £3 billion easy so once the Glazers saw that they say United are for sale. Probably will get £4-5 billion.

Now the Saudi sports minister has come out saying he wants the country to buy both clubs

Mate as a lifelong City fan, trust me - you want this deal to happen. You are American born and see the Glazers have won 2 Super Bowls and so you are likely enamoured with them, but take it from me, lad... they are below average governors on this stage. Your United will be far better with aggressive Saidi governors who would view this as a passion project whereas the Glazers are Global Financiers and thus have a passion mostly for profit.

You were literally defending the Glazers on this board

And I agree with TheOG - Utd has been in no way limited by the two-time Super Bowl Champion Glazer family.

This thread you were going to bat for them the entire time

Since when can the same entity own multiple clubs in the league?

yeah, can't say you're wrong... hell, look at Newcastle and where they are at now after the Saudi money came rolling in...

however, as a City fan, you should NOT want this to happen

As a conservative American, I never thought I’d desperately want Saudi Arabia to buy my club from its American Owners. (Really anybody not specifically the saudis)

Yes, more Middle Eastern involvement in the Prem is what everyone wants

I mean, I don’t specifically WANT it. But the glazers have sucked Man United dry. I don’t think there could be much worse owners.

The English government has already set the precedent with Chelsea/Abramovich. If it reaches a certain point they will take action and even force them out.

The football pyramid already put rules in place a few years ago that it’s against the rules to purchase a club how the Glazers did United after just sucking money out the club.

Ive been a city fan since 1994 when me classmate Ian had us try and cover "Live Forever" in his da's garage off Metairie Road.

UMBRO days, lad although i honestly had no clue what we were on about. Ironic that years later I'd the opportunity to become mates with both of the Gallaghers
