Can we not just do this and be done with it?

You can't really have 2 jerseys that are 50% red. Any red team we play as the away team would create issues. I am willing to give Nike license to do whatever the hell they want for the away jersey if they gave us Waldos for the home.

I wouldn’t be opposed to that. I think a big reason that people don’t care about our national team is a lack of any recognizable tradition.

If we can drop the controversial things like rainbow numbers and armbands and focus on national pride and playing to represent the nation rather than individuals within it, I think the masses could identify better with it.

That and it would be nice if the media had covered the team from about 08-14 and captured the grit that team played with in prime time slots.

Rambling now. Just ashamble, the USMNT…

Hell it's an adventure now just trying to find how to watch when it's not a WC or Gold Cup or whatever tournament Fox now has the rights to.

Ding ding ding! Imagine how special it must be for an Argentinian to work so hard and finally be able to wear those white and sky blue striped iconic jersey. I know we aren't Argentina, but shite, why can't we have something like that? The waldos are perfect. Not sure why we just can't have that?

Exactly. There's no need to mix sports with identity politics. In fact, it's counter intuitive to do so.

It's a bummer that the white kits are for the women only, because that's the best predominantly white kit that Nike has provided for the USSF in a long time.

I believe these kits are just for the current year, with World Cup kits coming later. The white ones give me hope we may see a 1994 inspired denim/stars as the big white kit reveal for the men’s World Cup.

*Even though they were adidas back in 94, I wonder if Nike is able to do a homage to it, if US Soccer owns the design rights, not the apparel companies ?

I wonder if we can just get back with Adidas? How long is the current deal with Nike?
After all, Adidas is the World leader for soccer apparel. To me, Puma is better than Nike (my opinion only)

Adidas, puma, le coq sportiff, kapp, etc. Are all better kit makers.

The blue looks good. Just doesn’t look American if that makes sense? Either way I don’t hate them.

that’s the lot I throw my hat into. it’ll never happen because these stupid fricks know us stupid fricks will buy new shite because they changed the shade of red, but for the love of all that is holy I wish we’d just pick something, at least for our primary kit, and just stick with it.

and my preference would be exactly what you posted, give or take navy vs white vs red socks. anything that can work the hoops in with the flag striping is fine by me, but if that’s too adventurous for the USSF then just pick a plain white shirt, plain navy shorts, and plain navy socks. there. done

God I love that kit. And look it's the correct color navy. Crazy concept.

And I really wonder on Nike's side how much money they spend on coming up with new kits each year. I say this because when you have people at home mocking up concept kits that are way better than what you have, it seems like you can run some sort of contest and pick a damn winner and pay them a fraction of what you probably spend on coming up with one on your own
