Why are we not playing our A team?

Because Gregg wanted to piss you off.

Love watching a pregame show in a stadium within our country’s borders and it’s in Spanish.

Hey US Soccer, you want to just play all away games?

I mean its entertaining, but talk about giving away home field adcantage.

US Soccer didn't pick the stadium.

I'm not a massive soccer fan, but I've been watching the USMNT in the Gold Cup when I can. Can someone explain to me why we're using our "C team", which I've read on other forums, in a game of such significance? Sorry, I don't follow international soccer well enough to understand.

They played Nations League in June. Almost every one plays in Europe and are in preseason. WCQ start next month. We need to figure out depth.

Why even play these games in the US?
Better facilities, higher ticket prices, etc.

Im not necessarily talking about the stadium.

ETA: Mexican fans are always going to travel, but lets not just give them all the pregame festivities and make it a home game atmosphere for them.

And I believe excuse Gregg used was most of A squad is starting up club play in Europe and didn’t want to pull those guys away at a crucial time

It's a CONCACAF event.

How is Mexico ranked 11th in the world? They aren't that good.

The Gold Cup isn't a US Soccer event.

USSF has no say over what CONCACAF does or where they do it.

that pregame would've been ironic for a Qatar/Canada final
