For what team? 2.Bundesliga isn’t where I want to find our 2022 strikers playing.
You don't want our strikers coming from a top 5 league? You'd rather they are from the MLS? I mean of course we'd rather have 15 strikers playing in the EPL and Premier League to choose from but to have guys who are playing minutes in top leagues is nice to see.

2.bundesliga is the second division. MLS is better than that league, so yeah I would prefer Sargent to be playing somewhere better.

Hoppe can certainly shithouse with the best of them at such a young age. You gotta think playing for Schalke makes one not really give a frick about the consequences.

I’ve only ever seen him play in this tournament so jury is still out but I hope so. Will have to watch some Schalke. Will he be a starter?
Prayers sent
They should be more watchable in the 2.bund though. It’s on ESPN+ I think. He was the top scorer, I think, for the worst first division team I’ve ever taken an interest in. First American to score a hat trick in the bundesliga. Really a forward and not a winger. I would really, really like to see what he can do for the US as a 9. He needs to bulk up a bit but he’s got decent size and touch and also has the ability to go at people but slow down and control the game if needed. He’s a pretty crafty finisher too, if you can find highlights from his hat trick game.

Yea that’s all I was saying in light of werder’s relegation. I like Sargent but he really needs a transfer. I hope dike also moves soon but right now our top 3 striker prospects (in no particular order) are scheduled to play with
1. Werder (2.bundesliga)
2. Shalke (2.bundesliga)
3. Orlando City (mls)
The USMNT really needs a striker scoring at a higher level than that a year before a World Cup.

I did look that up last week...he had some nice finishes - but my real takeaway was that his center mid worked his arse off and set him up to succeed.
I'm excited about his future - hopefully we have someone who can set him up as well as Amine Harit #25

I agree all three need to move ASAP, but the first two were in the Bundesliga last year and Dike showed he could do it in the Championship.

Really cool story from Matt Turner how he got the captain's armband in extratime of the Gold Cup final
Kellyn Acosta had it, but he put it on Turner's arm and said: “We’re going to need you to step up here and you deserve this.”
Turner: “It was a really special moment for me.”
