Isn't that an absurd fee for a teenager? I know he's one of the best young players in the world, but that just seems outrageous.
Agree. If United are going to spend that kind of money on a player I'd rather a more proven guy. I'm all for signing up and coming, just not at that price. I think it's harder for players to transfer their skills to the EPL than any other league, due to the talent, style of play, and shite weather.

FWIW, Martial was 46 million Euros.
ETA: I'm seeing 35 to 40 million pounds for him in the headlines today, which would be around 45 to 51 million Euros.

Sanchez has to be our number 1 priority. Price is inconsequential.

FOBUD's good friend G R A N T W A H L is reporting Mourinho might be closer to taking the PSG job than the United job:
Wahl is a really good reporter for SI, although he can be a jerk on Twitter.

After months of reports that Jose Mourinho was a near lock to take over at Manchester United next season, it’s becoming increasingly doubtful that Mourinho will get the job.
I’m told that Mourinho’s side has not had any contact recently with United, and he’s now telling people privately that he would also be interested in the PSG job, which is expected to be open after the likely departure of Laurent Blanc. Mourinho would prefer the Manchester United job, but he also views PSG’s quest for an elusive Champions League crown as a challenge that fits his skillset. He hasn’t won a Champions League title since 2010, when he did so with Inter Milan–beating Louis van Gaal's Bayern Munich.

It's a deal that United got destroyed on. If they put in a bid for half that at the start of the window, then Monaco would have tripped over themselves to take it.
That said, it doesn't matter the fee if the player turns out to be world class. Martial was a good buy in the end, because he's consistently performing. Just seems to be a super high risk.

He may be sort of a douche sometimes, but above all else he prides his journalistic integrity. I know that he has good sources and would fully trust those before putting anything out.
ETA: In other words, I tend to believe this is true. Also, what my gut is telling me.
Even still, Rog > Grant Wahl

He is ok, but Taylor Twellman called me ignorant because I made a concussion joke on his twitter.

Apparently now 31 million pounds up front. Could rise to 48 million with add ons.

Oh, they played well, all things considered. I still think he needs to be outta here if they can't get to the Champions League.

4 points out with a game in hand we can still do this.

The final three are all winnable, and Arsenal could take points off City.
