Also if anyone thinks they stopped doing this in 2018 cough SFP. I seriously think they lack basic comprehension skills of what’s in front of them.
Why would the best run team in the EPL need to cheat?

Arguing that Arsenal or any other team has done anything approaching what city has done is pure cope.
This is only because the entire system is built to protect an Arsenal
Of course you want to defend it

but that doesn’t mean you don’t defend City in every thread about them and root for them anytime they play someone not Madrid
I have barely posted about Man City for years
Once they overcame the systemic barriers it was more a foil for laughing at poorly run clubs like ManU and their arrogant fans. Real taking their generational prospect in a few months will be sweet though
ETA: it was to also mock the American fans larping as English club supporters who come off as silly in how they act like real supporters from the UK. Hence "long time Man City fan" intro

City is accused of adding revenue early in their development in order to compete with the established clubs for whom the financial rules were written to protect.
That's not a permanent state. This is the problem with the silliness that they're cheating now. They don't need to. They have overcome the irrational institutional barriers. You can see for yourself the past 5-10 years how well run they are.
Their net transfer spend the past 5 years is below: Man U, Arsenal, Liverpool, Chelsea, Tottenham.
Why would they need to pad revenue?

Friendly PSA, don’t argue with SFP. The only way he can get an erection is by arguing with people on the internet. Don’t be the reason SFP gets a boner today.

Ah yes it’s ok to commit generational fraud because the financial fair play rules are preventing us from white washing our petro state image
Give me a break. Don’t get in the game if you can’t play by the rules, it’s that simple.

Oh shut the frick up you crying pussy. So sick of you stupid fricks trying to gaslight the entire sporting world. The rules were established so these dumbass owners don't leave historic clubs to rot once they "stopped investing."
And absofrickingLUTELY they still need to cheat now. You are absolutely insane if you think Haaland and the pussy Rodri don't have double contracts with City and Abu Dhabi. And you better fricking believe it that Pep did.
City can't sell out a cup final. They could win the next 10 Champions Leagues and they still wouldn't fricking come close to the fan bases of clubs with massive commercial revenues. Get the frick out of here. Arsenal, Spurs (yes fricking Spurs), United, Liverpool, Chelsea (frick them), Madrid, Atletico, Barcelona, Bayern, etc have more world wide fans who can support massive commercial deals. City does not.
City's ratio of 10% legit sponsorship and commercial revenue from 2009 to 2018 doesn't magically go to 100% starting in 2019. fricking fake arse sponsorship deals completely outside of the reality and truth of fair market value.
Manchester tiny City making more on commercial deals than Real fricking Madrid backed by the fandom of the entirety of Spain, Latin America, Asia, etc. Give me a break.

Cool. Now do Net Income(Loss) without 90% of their commercial revenues. frick outta here
frick all of Arsenal's rivals, however, every single one of the clubs you mentioned doesn't fricking cheat (save Chelsea)
quote:
Why would they need to pad revenue?
Because they have no global fanbase you stupid frick. You and anyone else who thinks it is delusional if you think City is a "self sustaining club." frick no. They would lose a billion in 10 years if they didn't lie about their sponsorship revenues. Tiny arse cheating arse club

Not what I said.
This has nothing to do with image.

What?
I'm not the one being overly dramatic and irrational, here (see above post)
I've been making this argument on here for around a decade, mind you.

It's always been to protect the big clubs whose revenue couldn't be met by smaller clubs without extra investment.
Does it sometimes not work? Yes, but who cares?

And? What does that have to do with the price of tea in Bristol?
You're doing the thing. Going full SCH. Leave that to the once proud Man U fanbase. It's below Arsenal's level of current success.

You're now in "crying pussy" territory.

You're DEFINITELY in "crying pussy" territory by this point

Now you sound like a crying pussy Man U fan

There is this weird, hyper-emotional reaction online where people are melting the frick down if you don't join in the melting and respond rationally.
It's amazing, made even funnier when it's done by Americans with no actual connections to the clubs
This is one of the most interesting sociological events in modern internet

I understand ManU fans have gone without a well run club so long you may not recognize it. I'll give you a pass

Also it came out one of City’s sponsors that gave them millions went bankrupt a few months later. It was one of those companies that take your direct deposit and put it on a card.
This company had no corporate office, location or books. It just had a P.O. Box

To be fair, they haven't investigated any of that either (2019 to now). Seems highly unlikely they just abruptly stopped in 2018 when their total revenues kept going up year after year (including during Covid)

City running the whole playbook:
1) Admit nothing
2) Deny everything
3) Make counter-allegations
