I blame the idiotic international break 3 games in
Posted on 9/14/24 at 10:29 am to parrothead
spent all that money over the years and still have ZERO forwards
trying to crowbar wingers into forward position doesnt work
Jota is a mediocre forward

We legit haven’t been a threat on goal

Jones and Bradley were not great subs.

Nope, and the subs haven’t done anything. Is it a hot take to wonder why gapko is still around? Did I miss where that was a good transfer? I’ll gladly eat my words but I just don’t see it.

Not sure I’ve even heard Darwin’s name since he’s come on

He’s so damn good when he plays for Netherlands I just think we need to find the best way to use him

Yes.
Everyone on attack is off it today. Salah among the worst.

If anybody can find that role I feel like Slot, a fellow Dutchman, can surely find it.

yeah, one bad match and they'll flood in...

I don’t hate the formation change. I don’t like the personnel he chose to do it.
This is a pretty classic Liverpool L. Control the game, fall asleep on D and concede, play against a low block with an uninspired attack. I’d be happy to get these out of the way early.

I don't have a problem with either... to me.. everyone just came out flat (except VVD), nothing in the final third really came off...

Didn’t think Bradley defended very well. Conceded whatever space Odoi wanted. I’d rather have TAA stay back, not sure who I’d bring on to play where TAA was though.

yeah, he and Konate should have done better for the goal... but by and large, CB has been a pretty reliable RB...
My issues were on the other side of the pitch... worse game Mo has had since he got back from Afcon... Szobo was poor.. and Mac couldn't seem to get in the game and was on the ground most of the first half..
I dunno... it happens, we just need to snap out of it next week...
edit: or this week in Milan would be nice, too

Agreed, on the whole, attack was the problem. Everyone was a ghost except Diaz. He’s been carrying the attack so far this season.

Diaz, 3 goals 1 assist in 4 games.
Salah, 3 goals 3 assists in 4 games.
Take is scorching hot.
