To me it looks like our back-line thinks its playing a 4-2-3-1. There has been a ton of space around our CBs as the ball is moved around. Turkey has had the ball at the top of our 18 several times with a defender scrambling to get near the ball. How we haven't given up a goal is beyond me.

Almost certain at this point to me that the diamond is only for Ghana and if we are desperate for a goal against Portugal.

Expecting Brad Davis to play defensively against any of our first round opponents is so far beyond comical...

I think Bedoya starts at LM at the WC if we stick to this 41212

I suspect Julian Green is going to come in for Davis at some point around 60 minutes.

Yeah the picture isn't very sharp for some reason.

Ok didn't think I was seeing things or my slingbox was messed up. Usually its great quality. Only if BT was showing this like they were supposed to here the quality would be night and day.

Bradley is leaving possessions all over the place too. I am not sure what his issue is, but his passes in the middle of the pitch have been bad, obviously barring his play by the goal.

He looks like he's feeling the pressure of being the focal point of this team in attack. Obviously he did great on the goal, but he has to be more consistent or the whole plan falls apart.

Basically it was his dream to play for Germany. His mom told him he could wait a few years and play on the German NT, and he said "Mom, you don't understand, it's the World Cup!"

My interpretation of this is that Jurgen told him he'd have a chance at the World Cup this time around. I don't believe it was promised as a spot to the World Cup, but I do believe he was promised a spot to camp.

He had no chance at a World Cup with Germany. He is good enough as a player to compete here in terms of talent. Not making the starting 11 at Bayern with the attacking power they have there is not a disappointment. I'd take a shot here over there. Even if he's just decent, he'll be a god here and make most of the squads for the entirety of the year.

I know everyone wants to make it into a conspiracy, but if you're 18 and talented, a chance to go to a World Cup at that age is enough to join the team. Who cares? He's one of us now. By that, I mean a German-speaking American living in Germany.

Turkey - A team that "kinda almost went to Brazil but didn't make it." Flattering.

That's the generous interpretation. Of course, no one is being generous with Jurgen at this point.

ESPN has fine HD...the problem is that camera is probably fricked. the rest of the cameras look fine

it does suck that the main camera is malfunctioning, but it is what it is
