La liga is also streaming games on FB btw
Also if anyone has been streaming off reddit using sky for English broadcast, sky lost the rights this year bc La Liga said sky low balled them
It’s on this upstart channel called Eleven Sports which is also on American tv

eleven also got serie a. james richardson had someone from eleven on his golazzo podcast explaining to people how to get it. crazy to think neither of those leagues are available on tv in the uk.

If one of the big teams come I’m sure they won’t send the stars, so that will hurt attendance.
Why wouldn't they? It's a league game. It counts.

As a Jaguars fan, our team plays in London every year. I've grown to like it and I'll be attending this season.
Same and I think I’m gonna try to go the game next year. Although I’d probably be annoyed if I wasn’t so burnt out on the NFL. 2-3 regular season Jags games a year plus the playoffs is enough for me to see IRL since NFL games feel so stale and corporate, even the smaller market NFL teams with a more “collegiate” atmosphere.
Also agree with the take they have to bring one of RM/Bartha/Atleti, at least for the forseeable future. Maybe with some more brand building they could bring someone like Sevilla as the featured team but even then that feels like a stretch.

For Real at least, they are resting the big names for games against Getafe and Levante anyway as it is, they aren’t flying them to the US for a game. Realistically they don’t need Benzema, Modric, Kroos, Marcelo, Ramos, and Bale to best those teams, why tire them out even more?

For their 3-1 win in March at the Bernabeu against Getafe, they had this lineup:
Navas
Carvajal
Nacho
Ramos
Hernandez
Bale
Llorente
Casemiro
Isco
Ronaldo
Benzema

They may rest a few players, but they're not going to field a youth team.

If they bring a big club it will be taking away a home game from a small club
Like the NFL does

Absolutely, I just don’t see how they don’t bring a big team 4 out of 5 times at least. I’d bet they’ve already had these discussions within the league and identified small clubs willing to give up home games before reaching this agreement.
It would be interesting to see for a small club how the revenue vs a big club on US soil would stack up compared to revenue vs a big club at home

Thats the tricky thing
The TV money is spain is beyond fricked how it goes to the big 3
its gotten better but still a huge gap
the big three would want a majority of that tv money and probably the revenue for tickets even though it should all go to the small club due to the loss of a home game.

The TV renegotiation is more important. When this country sees the technical level of the lower tier=== beyond the big four, they´ll be amazed.
They´ll understand how the big guys win, but it´s not a cakewalk. The same shite as people comment here about going to a cold, windy, wet shithole, they´ll comment about how lucky the big guys were to get out alive.
There will be great appreciation.

Club captains in Spain are set to meet tomorrow to officially come to agreement that they are against playing any La Liga games in America as proposed by the league last week.

But it's also the players who aren't happy. According to AS the captains from all 20 La Liga sides will meet tomorrow to put out a statement together to go against the games and claim they won't be part of them.
Welp

Make sure you wait till 16th minute to begin watching the Serie a feed on Eleven. English FA forces them to blackout the games till the 16th minute mark.
