Couldn't agree more. I'm sure as hell wishing this team is successful at the WC. It's sad to know that some posters here will be rooting for failure because of the coach.

Bro, I am not rooting for failure. I want to win the World Cup. I just do not want Jurgen to coach the team. I hope everyone of the guys who sees the field has the tournament of their lives (until 2018).

Whats the last date the squad can be changed due to an injury? Just curious, I did not know it could be changed...

I don't think you're a moron. I do think the Einstein/God's Not Dead reference went over your head and when people try to be snarky with me when I'm right, I do get irritated. That's all.
Stewie, after what Jurgen did last night, I don't see how anything other than hate is a justifiable feeling for the guy. I realize a lot of you are being even-handed, but a moderate position is not always the correct or appropriate one.
Since this isn't the OT or Political Talk, I'll go ahead and write the next sentence although I am sure it will lead to some creative replies.
If a political operative going by the pretend title of "Republican strategist" goes on a daytime news show and says global warming isn't real, and an expert in environmental science says there is scientific consensus that the other person is completely wrong, the correct takeaway from this situation is not that both parties are right in some ways and wrong in others.

Honestly, I never even saw that post until 3 seconds ago. I don't think I posted in that thread after my initial post.

It's a big deal, but I don't think anyone on here will be rooting agienst the US. I think alot of people are saying is that if your going to do something ballsie like leave out LD, then if you don't produce some sort of result then prepare to be penetrated by fans and the press.

I agree. The truth always lies somewhere in between.

That's a great way of putting it. However, in this case I think it's acceptable to say Juergen made a mistake but not want him fired or anything like that until we at least see how it plays out

You missed the comment last night by a poster on here saying that they hoped we got 0 points just so Jurgen would get fired. I'm not going to say who this was. They know who they are, and I hope for their sake it was emotion rather than reason that produced that statement.
Posted on 5/23/14 at 12:24 pm to cwil177
You mean the truth DOES NOT always lie somewhere in between right? Bc that was the point he was making
Posted on 5/23/14 at 12:24 pm to cwil177
Pretty sure I said almost. I know that I want the team to do well.
It was definitely emotion. That was literally the most angry I have ever been in my life by far.
Jurgen can still DIAF.
ETA: I do not think the World Cup will be as great as I hoped to it to be. This definitely takes away from the experience not being able to see your favorite player there.

That wasn't my point at all

It's understandable. I was pissed too. I called friends who I watch soccer with and just had to vent. But it is what it is. I'll support Green, Davis, Wondo, Jurgen, and the entire god damn team with all my heart regardless of this whole fiasco.

Well what's your point? Obviously I'm too fricking stoopid for your analogies.
ETA: Ok, I definitely misread that "republican strategist" comment.

Nothing wrong with hating the coach. This is an LSU board. Half of the fricking posters hate the coach, but would kill themselves for a national title.
Posted on 5/23/14 at 12:29 pm to cwil177
His point is that something's are irrefutable, like global warming is real. Just bc some blowhard comes on your tv and aggressively says it isn't real doesn't mean you have to go "hmmm I'm being presented with two different opinions the truth must be in the middle." Sometimes that's the case, but just as often someone is wrong and someone is right
Posted on 5/23/14 at 12:31 pm to tigerfan88
How is that applicable to this situation though? There's nothing black and white about this decision. It's right in many ways and wrong in many ways. Hence, grey.
Well yeah, I think Les is an idiot.

And that is where we agree to disagree.
