no fricking way that you think this is a meaningful thought. there is simply no fricking way.

I think the decision to leave Landon off is the wrong one, but I'm not going to discount Green or Brooks or even Davis for it. Jurgen had his reasons, and I'm sure Landon got brought into the 30 so that other players in camp could see his form. I love Landon. I have several jerseys with his name on it. That said, I don't think he brought his A game, while others did. That's why he (narrowly) missed out on the 23.

No one is mad at the other players. I am happy their dreams came true.

There is no way anyone in the world can say leaving off Donovan was the right decision with a straight face. shite, Jurgen was basically trembling at the press conference. I honestly cannot believe he thinks he picked the best 23.

It is almost like the France situation where maybe the coach believes some bullshite that they have the team, but not the best team. Just my take.

Oh, by the way, you know who else had already played in MLS for a couple of years and had played with the senior national team for 2 years?

Landon Donovan.

You're ignoring that Donovan led San Jose to the MLS Cup in 2001, was playing great for them again in 2002, and was a regular starter with a resume for the USMNT.

I figured the reference to the Einstein meme which is obviously 100% bullshite was a a little more creative than saying "Do I look like a moron? Don't try to craft some a-ha moment with completely inaccurate facts."

And Keys, I'm in agreement with you and most people on here that Landon should have been on the team. Trust me, I'm just as devastated as you are. It literally ruined my day yesterday. But you and rockchlkjayhku11 were so into launching a personal tirade against me for pointing out that Landon didn't have much experience before 2002 that you missed the point I was trying to make. Sometimes players without a lot of experience make World Cup squads. It happens every world cup, and with every nation. We can't do anything but accept it and move on. I'll support this team 100%, with or without LD.

What was the quality of MLS in 2001? Was it better than the German 4th division in 2014? Would LD have been able to train with the current Bayern first team? Landon had played in MLS for less than a season and a half by the time the World Cup rolled around. His US resume was 5 goals. Better than Julian, but still not a lot. So you think I'm a moron. Boo fricking hoo. You're still letting emotion get the best of you, and it shows.

I mean, I was being a little silly. Hence the all caps.

But I'm going to back cwill on this. The combo of your melodramatic signature and your hatred for Jurgen is depressing me.

All I will say is I support these players 100%.

But Klinsmann better hope he is right.

As the wise ( ) SFP said yesterday, when you're an a-hole, you better be right.

Ream plays LB for his club, idiot.
