I don't care about you at all. I was providing context for Stiff.
And showing that Golfer won't even attempt to give us the benefit of the doubt on anything.

There's no point to this anymore guys. My advice: embrace the people here for the wc. Ignore the trolls, this will "fix" soccer, and "no scores in the title is stupid" posts. Egging it on does nothing. Sarcasm does nothing. Down right meanness does nothing. We aren't going to change them, they aren't going to change us or the game we love.

Is it their position that soccer, as currently instituted is perfect and must not undergo any further changes?
No, not at all. I think recent additions like goal line technology are an important improvement.

This, along with statements like the earlier one I quoted, makes some people here seem cultish
That was a little weird

Can't you just enjoy your favorite sport?
We do, but people such as the one you quoted feel an obligation to be a sort of ambassador for the sport so that others might appreciate the game the way they do. This is difficult with suggestions like "soccer is so boring they'd have to eliminate offside or make the goals 60 yards wide for me to watch it." "Your game is broken, here's how to fix it." "Why you mad bro? It's not my fault this is such a shitty excuse for a sport."
That's all we really want to do anyway is enjoy the sport. And that's why I'm done with this shitty excuse for a thread. I get the feeling people are just trying to see how far they can push this. IDGAF if you enjoy the tournament or not.

Whoever is the Administrator for the SC needs to block Jo Bleaux, Golfer, and The Boat

That sounds very narcissistic. By all means, defend the sport. That's fine. But this hyperbolic, Prometheus-like attitude of "bring the light" to those who dwell in the darkness is very immature, IMO.

So you admit he never called himself a "regular." Thanks.

It's a very European attitude they've adopted. Like I said.

What is the SC, anyway?

This thread is funny on both sides.
Soccer newbs: stop trying to "fix" the game - nobody cares about your dumbass opinions.
Soccer regs: stop being stuck up, and stop imitating Europeans it is annoying (I'm looking at you, person who calls the field a "pitch").

Like "hey let's go poke the SB with a stick and see what we can turn up for entertainment" is a shining example of what one should strive to be?

History says otherwise. But whatever.
Thank God for post history then.
The only thread I can find that you started on the SB was about a fair play goal. It was answered by three people with no flame responses.

The thread in question that seems to irk you is one of the in-game threads from qualifying against Mexico in September of last year, not two years ago. Your first post in the thread is to update the score in the title. You are replied to in a polite manner that it is customary on the SB to not put the score in the title. One poster says he even agrees with your stance, but goes along with it out of respect to the others of the board.

I see nothing here to validate your negative stance toward the posters of this board.

To be fair, SB regs are a bristly folk.
