Yeah, I'm not understanding this line of their argument. Is it their position that soccer, as currently instituted is perfect and must not undergo any further changes? This, along with statements like the earlier one I quoted, makes some people here seem cultish. Can't you just enjoy your favorite sport?

This is the most absurd thing I've seen posted by the influx of World Cup posters.
And BTW, we have a very clear definition of trolling that is not different from yours. I'm sure. If new posters want to come in and ask questions without flaming about aspects of soccer that they do not like, then they are more than welcome here. None on the SB shy away from meaningful, intelligent discussion. If you come here to post the same rehashed, mindless drivel such as "LeBron would be the GOAT of soccer" or "Offsides is such a drag," then people here will promptly and justly be a dick to you. And there is no problem with that.
I don't know about you, but this seems like a red-blooded American mindset on how to approach this situation to me.
