Isn’t Mexico out with 1-0 results on wednesday

In see the tiebreakers - beside the Sweden by 2, German my 2 scenario - wouldn’t 1-0 Sweden and 1-0 Germany do it?
Points - 3 way tie.
GD - 3 way tie.
Goals - 3 way tie
GD between 3 - 3 way tie
Goals between 3 - Sweden 3, Germany 3, Mexico 2.
Is this correct?

It’s not an unreasonable scenario at all. That late goal they gave up to Korea may end up costing them big time. Mexico vs Sweden is a coin flip, IMO. You have to think Germany win by multiple goals against an eliminated Korea team. If that happens, Sweden has to win to advance, and Mexico can’t lose.
It’s just a strange mathematical scenario where all Mexico needs is a draw to win the group, but any loss likely sees them go home.

A Mexico run doesn’t hurt US soccer, just pisses fans off. That is insane that a loss and they could be out.

You know they’re going to be nervous as hell while Sweden presumably doesn’t really have the same sort of pressure to go through.

The problem is that Sweden is shite going forward while Mexico is a good counter-attacking team. Hopefully the roles will be switched. I'm not a hateful person but I can't stand Rafa Marquez and I don't want him to be in the knockouts again.
