I present as evidence, season highlights: LINK

His judgment/decision making, touch, passing, are all just incredible. During the Leeds/Fulham FA cup game the announcers couldn’t stop praising him.

And then there was that moment after the Manchester city game where Guardiola walks up to him and says, ‘If you were 24 instead of 34, you’d be playing for me,” to which Ream replied, “It’s too bad I’m not 34, I’m 35.”

Really funny to watch a guy peak at 35 when most of us thought he was done and dusted years ago. Hopefully he keeps up this form into Copa America 2024.

Have to say I was hesitant when we went into the WC with him at center back. He has been really good and very consistent over the past few months.

Yes.

It's wild how it just suddenly clicked for him within the last year in his age 34/35 season. It's such an awesome anomaly.

You may have been in the minority then. Most of us were paranoid he could've been left off based on the previous call ups. He was playing better than anyone else in our pool leading up to the tournament, and leaving him home would've been worse than Jurgy dissing Landy in 14.

Replying to the previous comment, still mind boggling he did so In favor of mix and brad Davis. What a bad call.

The worst part is that Jurgen said he viewed Landon solely as a #9 (even though he played LW/LM and scored against Mexico to clinch a spot in the World Cup 9 months prior).

So in Jurgen's head, not only did he view Wondo as a better World Cup #9 option over Landon, but he thought his wing depth with Zusi, Davis, Bedoya and baby Green was good enough to not even think about Landon in that group.

Also apparently thought an injured Aron Johansson was better than Donovan.

The MLS fan boys didn’t want him on the final squad

Who said they didn't want him?

I (not an MLS fanboy) remember not being sure if I wanted him starting, which I was admitted to being wrong about after the first match. But I don't remember anyone saying they didn't want him on the roster, especially after Richards was ruled out.

I realize it’s your first post but you need to fix the link.

The man did it again tonight. I just can't believe how good he has been. And this isn't some temporary rise in form, we're going on a year plus of him playing out of his mind.
