So as many know I started watching soccer after the world cup and it has continued on Saturday's and Sunday's.... I've adopted Arsenal as a team to support as well, even downloaded an app for Arsenal news on my phone. Seems though the season is coming to a close and I need to pick an MLS team....

which one would be the best to root for based on my previous team I watched and read the news about?

NYCFC

Ownership group includes the Yankees.
Playing at NYS.
They have Mix.

Toronto FC is the team I think will win this year. They have USMNT starters Bradley and Altidore, which I think will tear it up. They have a couple older European players like Caldwell, Geovinco, and Cheyrou.

The season will go into May.

You can pick whatever team you want for the MLS. The season just began. Since you are a Yankees fan, you might want NYCFC as another poster suggested.

If I could pick any team without feeling guilty, I'd pick NYCFC. Get yourself a Mix jersey.

Yankees are sentimental as I grew up on Ron Guidry/Don Mattingly

I need a team that I can really connect with

If you want a team you can easily go see play: Houston or Dallas are 4-6 hours away. Dallas is really fun to watch, actually.

For my money, I'd do Orlando City. Close enough that you can go see them if you want, southern, colors are awesome, and they just started their first game with more than 62,000 people in the stands.

It's easy to get excited for the first game. I have very little faith in Florida fans.

Geovinco,

Not old. He got paid and is probably the best player in the league.

OCSC would get around 15,000-20,000 fans a game on the regular during their playoff runs in the lower leagues. We're capping capacity around 25,000 this year so we will get that every game.

Also our supporters group are already considered pretty trashy and obnoxious.

I'm really confused about why Orlando capped the stadium at such a low number.

Ok. Honestly, I got nothing for you then. Maybe just watch and see if you arbitrarily gravitate to a team.

I don't know either, but if demand is there they will print more tickets. There new stadium is set to hold only 19,000 when they sell 14,000 season tickets.

Apparently Orlando City is considering a raise on that cap, which is good. LINK

They've got a dedicated fan base.

Do you want a team that the league, media, local sports fans at large, and ownership ignore?

Why then FC Dallas is the team for you!
