Ireland vs Croatia

I think I'm going 1-0 Croatia, but I really don't know much about either team.

1-1. Ireland will score first and Croatia will get a late equalizer from either Jelavic or Modric. I've watched a lot of Croatia matches since 1993 and this is the first team I have seen that has serious problems putting the ball in the net.

Tough to call because I'd guess Ireland will pack back not lose defensive form by committing any support on countering chances.
They'll hope for a goal off a set piece or safe counter and then be able to completely park the bus.
Croatia is pretty slow in the central defense so they have a chance to nap a long ball goal.
Is Modric playing?
He's the key to me in opening up enough space against a packed box for Croatia to keep forcing decent balls into the area.
With Modric, I'll say Croatia 1-0
Without him: 0-0
