It is an absurd amount. The all-time record is 15.

He is way ahead of pace. Mueller has basically only played 30% of his World Cup career. I expect him to play in four World Cups. He just started his second campaign.

This game is amazing. Normally i'd root for a draw in every group game not involving the US, but I think everyone was confident Germany would win this group.

Portugal has self-destructed. They have looked like arse since the first minute. Also Pepe got the red, Coentrao/Hummels pick up injuries.

I nicknamed him Tommy Fußball. I should trademark it.

In 2010, they looked amazing when crushing Argentina, but then Spain shut them out the next game and they were done. Pretty sure that was the quarters, btw.

Seems like the last three world cups, Germany has looked amazing until they didn't. They always advance deep into the tourney, then go out with a whimper.

Losing 1-0 in the semis to the champion is not collapsing.

I just remember thinking Germany was the team to beat after the Argentina game. Then they got shut down.
