I Kige all the not wanting to watch Greece play again responses. Boring and unattractive.

Plus Cote D'Ivoire v Costa Rica would be an interesting game.

Greece is so boring to watch. They are only threatening off set pieces in most cases.

Greece and Iran are easily the 2 worst to watch - it is horrible.

Is the Greece Strategy just to play conservative defense and hope the other team screws up?

It's working so far

If you play Iran, prepare to play against 10 defenders. It was so frustrating to watch Argentina play them. It was 6 v 10 for 80% of the match.

But, hey, it almost worked.

It's how they've played for years.

It can be effective sometimes, but for 3rd party viewing, it always sucks major arse.

Their style is playing conservatively and hoping they beat you off set pieces. It's a smart strategy when you don't have the talent other countries have.

Did we watch the same game? Iran played well against Argentina especially in the second half.

Did I say they didn't play well? Iran dropped 10 back almost for the entirety of the first half and for the majority of the second half. They got good pushes forward in the second half, but their strategy was clear.

Dude playing against Argentina, that's how they were supposed to play. They let Argentina control the flow of the game while threatening on counters. They came close to scoring there a few times. Devegah (spelling?)was very dangerous on the counter.

I agree that's how they are supposed to play. I just said it was frustrating to watch. But, hey, I'm an Argentina fan. Of course it was frustrating.

Colombia is going to score again with James Rodriguez now in the game.

I disagree with the above about Drogba starting. I think you start him and play as long as he can. I would rather 65 minutes of Drogba than the last 30. Each minute is equally as valuable because Ivory Coast was looking a win today.
