Cahill suspended. NO NO NO.

But completely expected, because Tim Cahill is a yellow card machine.

Is it wrong that I can't watch this game without hoping that someone breaks Nigel De Jong's leg?

I'm ok with it in this instance (yellows in consecutive matches)

i seriously do not get how there were 5 minutes of stoppage in the US/Ghana second half and only 2 in this first half. makes no sense. but whatever.

Spain and Germany are also up there, even though Lahm is playing in the MF now. France, Italy, England, and Belgium are probably the next tier.

I don't know if there's really a great answer at this point. Maybe Italy if they were healthy.

Everybody else has issues. Belgium play four center backs, same with Germany at this point. England's back four is pretty average really.

Switzerland have fantastic attacking fullbacks, but they have some centerback issues.

What is the rule in regards to group play and then the carry over to knockouts?

If you get a yellow in your 1st and 3rd group matches are you suspended for the next match? If you get one in your 3rd match then the first knockout match are you suspended the next match?

When is the slate wiped clean?

I'm the exact opposite. I think it makes more sense to have a total limit for the tournament, like if you get 4 throughout the world cup you miss a game.

Getting them in back to back games could just be the result of very unfortunate luck.

Think it resets in the quarters.
