Australia is giving Holland a better game than Spain did. Who would have guessed that?

(I know Spain was up 1-0 at this point, so it may change.)

Cahill wanted another one.

I had no idea Australia was this good.

Who's the best defender in the world? And who's the best back 4 as a team?

Off topic I know, but don't wanna start another newbie thread.

Thiago Silva of Brazil.

It should be Brazil, but it has not looked that way.

Australia looked more than competent against Chile.

But the Dutch look useless today.

Aussie fans OLEing the Dutch is probably my favorite banter thus far in the tournament.

Australia isn't this good. And Spain is better than they showed.

They shouldn't be. The two players that their media were counting on to give them a decent showing are out injured and they've had to bring in McGowan after an injury in their first match.

Probably Thiago Silva. It doesn't get much better than Brazil's back 4.

Dani Alves - Thiago Silva - David Luiz - Marcelo

Holland's left back is really good. I have been very impressed with him in his 1.5 WC matches.

Also, Australia is much better than I expected. They gave Chile a run for their money, and are playing the Dutch very tough.

All but Silva are wildly overrated, especially as defenders.

Patrick Willis

The Seahawks or Saints

I'd take Phillip Lahm as "defender" but that is a wide-open and highly debatable topic.
