Lol Turkey. 36% possession and 1 shot not on target.

Is Bernardeschi the real slim shady?

Haven’t been watching but heard this was supposed to be a brand new Italian brand. 3-0 seems like it’s true or turkey that bad? Thought this would be closer.

I wonder what Hakan Sukur is up to nowadays - seems like he was always featuring for Turkey in that era....

No it wasn't.
LOTG clearly state a ball deflected by a player onto their own arm is not a handball offense. I have to remind youth coaches of that all the time.
The ball hit the player's leg, then ricocheted up into his arm.

Hungary
the poor Hungarians are grouped with Germany, Portugal and France. Too bad, I like Hungary.

I've got a feeling the Dutch will go far. Their group is really manageable and if the group predictions hold firm, they'd get the Czech Republic in the first knockout match and then possibly Denmark in the quarterfinals.

Cult, better alternative to the AKP, somewhere in between or none of the above?
Posted on 6/11/21 at 9:19 pm to SCLibertarian
Probably just an easy scapegoat for Erdogan to take advantage of a remarkably poorly executed coup. And it might be a better alternative to the AKP, who are becoming more and more unpopular.

Somewhat of a cult but mostly a much smaller group that was affiliated with Erdogan 15+ years ago that he eventually turned on (hint: he turns on almost everyone).
Not really an alternative to the AKP because it is a small group and was mostly aligned with them. The CHP wants nothing to do with them, the MHP hates them and is now aligned with Erdogan anyway, etc.
Hakan Sukur lives in NJ now? I think he was in Toronto for a time.
Eta: looks like he lives in the Bay Area and trains teens individually and coaches a U16 team. Still looks like he could step into a game right now and play for 30 minutes which isn’t surprising because he always took care of himself.

That was a very boring game. For a Turkish fan who has been waiting for 5 years, that probably feels a bit like LSU-Bama 2011 but more like this year’s game.
The Turkish team showed very little today.
I thought the referee was a excellent throughout and agreed with all of the big decisions.
