It was close, but I still don't think Twellman understands what "expected position" means.

If a guy is lunging for a ball, then that's about where the natural position of his arm should be.

Feels like Italy is going to need a set piece or to score from beyond the box. Turkey is completely packed in.

it's a penalty, 100%

If that is now, not a penalty, every defender should be doing that. You cannot move your arms out, to block the ball.

2 missed PK's by Refs Mob had a ton on the 0-0 half time score. Who did they bet in 2nd half?

The guy's arm is at 90° and in a natural spot. It's not like it was completely outstretched and/or above his shoulder.

That, coupled with the closeness of the cross, swings it to no penalty to me.

There's nothing that says a defender's arms have to be behind his back.

Surprised they didn't bring in a British presenter ala Lynsey Hipgrave or someone of her ilk to host and it would have played better than Reece.

Bold strategy.

I’m a bit surprised this has been such an arse kicking. Turkey have shown nothing.

Wait a sec, did I hear that correctly....Italy has never scored more than two goals in a match in the euros?!?! I know historically they’ve been a defensive squad, but that’s insane.

I know the own goal counts as a goal, but is it really a "scored" goal...
