Does Pulisic play vs Netherlands?

Following his tweet from the hospital the day of the injury, he’s been pretty non-committal in interviews / press. Yesterdays practice was supposed to be open to media for first 15 mins but they decided not to open it up last minute.
is this a bad sign about his availability tomorrow? Or is the team just playing coy?

I doubt he starts but I bet he’s available.

Perfect chance to start Aaronson or (gasp) Gio and have a fresher Pulisic coming off the bench
I honestly don't think we lose too much in that scenario

Sirus 'The Football Show' reported that Gregg stated Christian will train today and will be available to play Saturday.

Christian has said he will be available. Gregg does too. He’s been training in cleats with the team. I think he’s fine.

Assuming we end reg tied, how does WC overtime work? Is it golden goal or do they play 2 15 minute extra time no matter what? Plus penalty kicks if still tied.
That will matter in how we manage starters and subs. Of course you have to get to extra time first but thats 30 more minutes if so (unless its golden goal rules). This means Puli might sub in?

2 15 minute extra time periods. No golden goal. Shootout if no one is ahead at the end of 120 minutes.

Was his actual injury ever announced? I may have missed it.

To me it sounds like Pulisic will be ready to play a major role but Sargent won’t be available.

Haven't watched Holland in a while and none during the groups
What's our realistic chance here?

I think Sargent will be available. If he’s not who do we start? Ferreira?

I haven’t read anything about Sargent except that he’s “day to day”. I get the impression he won’t be ready.
I can’t imagine he brought Ferreira just not to play him at all, especially with how Wright performed against Iran.
I would like to see JF get a chance if we aren’t going to play a false 9.

Gregg said something like “we feel good about Christian, but we need to see how he feels on game day.” He also said something like “Josh is trying his best, I’m not quite sure he’s as ready as Christian but we will look again tomorrow.”
These are obviously paraphrases and it was a source linked in Reddit (seemed legit though) but it gives us an idea on what Gregg has been told once you filter out the coach speak.

I’m comfortable with any of Jesus, Aaronson, or Gio in the lineup.
Jesus would be the most like for like sub and that’s who I expect will start in place of Sargent.

USMNT Twitter confirms Pulisic has been cleared for tomorrow’s match.

What didn’t kill him only made him stronger. The poor Dutch won’t know what hit them.

Arguments for Puli starting:
- Best chance to score while teams are tied. If we go down by 1 they bunker down making it harder. Want to score and put pressure on opponent which can lead to more scores on breaks
- Puli is Captain America, our best scoring chance. Like it or not he is the face of US soccer to most fans (and most fans are casual fans). To not start him fans would be outraged
Arguments against starting him
- Due to Chelsea favortism he is not as fit as could have been. Feels intentional to send him to WC not fit by Chelsea. Can he play 120 plus stoppage plus kicks if needed?
- With potential to play 30 extra minutes (plus the high stoppage times these WC refs are calling for) plus penalty kicks potential - if he comes in to start 2nd half he could still play 75 minutes plus stoppage plus kicks. Might be fresher than opponent.

This will be interesting what Gregg does. You have to try and win in 90 but must plan for potential of 120 and kicks. If you start all your best players they will be worn out by extra time. Will be some tactical roster adjustments is my guess - if coach is looking big picture. At same time if you go too soft to start game (roster wise) you run risk of getting behind if other teams scores vs mediocre starting roster. Yet you can’t shoot all your bullets to start game either (roster wise).
I’ll be curious how he manages this, knockouts show the true coaching (or lack of)

Our guys look like they struggle past 60 minutes so I really hope we don’t have to go 120.
