I thought Koeman gave him a week to decide like a month ago? Apparently it wasn’t an ultimatum. I mean people chose to stay on the titanic and play violins so...

Bad timing for the US since the USSF is a dumpster fire at this point. This points straight at a Dutch choice.

Based on manager and tactics alone it’s pretty easy choice

Hopefully he knows the dumpster fire Gregg isn’t the long term man

Honestly, this is where we miss Jurgy. He could recruit the duals based on his name and world cup achievements alone.

And all the talk from young players (not just Jonathan Gonzalez) saying no one from US soccer has been reaching out would've never happened on his watch.

I think this is overblown. All of the Germericans he brought in were never going to play for Germany and, at the time, the US was a much better option than Iceland and Norway for Bacon and Mix.

Maybe Jurgen was a good recruiter, but I think pretty much any manager would've gotten those guys if they wanted them.

That's my main point. He would go get them. Gonzalez not being contacted by anyone from US Soccer was well documented, but even more recently Araujo has been visited by Mexico and said no one from US has reached out.

I will agree with this, Jurgen always made it a point to seek out anyone that had american passports.

Gregg did fast track Tyler Boyd.

For Dest’s sake, he needs to pick the Netherlands.

So there are only two ways this can go -

18 year old who believes he won't be good enough for his home country and boy-hood dream, who sees option B (or D) losing to Cananda and thinks - "I'll always be able to play there."

Or 18 year old up and comer, playing in champions league, who has a legit world power wanting him to play for them, which also happens to be his nation and his boyhood dream.

Holding my breath on this one....

Good.

Maybe they saw that they should keep Pulisic in every meaningful game.
