All aboard. I'm torn between wanting him to become the greatest fulham player ever and him going to a UCL contender... Leaning towards staying at craven

I would say he's already one of the greatest offensive players at Fulham ever. He holds Fulham's EPL scoring record.

I want him to stay, but its going to have to be a hell of a sales pitch by Fulham during the summer.

Without Dempsey this team is hot garbage.

Definitely but if he finished his career there fulham fans would talk about him forever..... Well frei and dembele aren't terrible, but yes without deuce fulham wouldn't be sitting firmly mid table

My question is how many people will stop rooting for Fulham when he leaves? I enjoy seeing them win after Arsenal currently because of him.. if he leaves I could care less.

I definitely want to see him move on to a bigger club, either in the EPL or another league...

This is why I'm baffled when people say they chose/follow their EPL team for the players. The club lasts forever, the players do not. It's a really dumb reason to choose a club IMO.

fulham are the easiest london club for me to root for. I like them with or without deuce, although he certainly makes them a lot better. unfortunately, I don't think there's enough money to keep deuce and make many more improvements. where do yall think he would fit? I could see him in the bundesliga if not staying within the epl.

If Tottenham somehow stay in the top 4 he'd be a good fit there. I'm banking on the fact that there's no way they keep everyone. That way he's have consistent start time at a CL club. And he wouldn't have to move far.

EDIT: Although I don't see him as a perfect fit for their attacking philosophy, he could make it work.

There was some discussion about where he may end up in a thread yesterday and it's kind of hard to see where the right fit may be.

He'd certainly work with many Bundesliga clubs style wise but if he's wanting to move to a bigger club than Fulham with the possibility of consistent CL advancement isn't that mainly only Bayern and maybe Dortmund and I can't see either of them signing him for differing reasons.

Are clubs like Leverkusen, Shalke et al really worth the move? I really don't know. . .

PSG gets mentioned often in rumors. Not sure if that's due to any real interest or simply because that may be his best "fit" outside the EPL for a bigger money club that looks to be a CL fixture for the near future.

Of the Serie A sides, I don't think Milan or Juve would be interested and Inter is a mess right now. Roma gets mentioned due to the American owners saying they'd like to sign an American but Roma is loaded with young attacking talent and mainly needs to spend on defenders.

Not sure about La Liga sides?

Would he be technically gifted enough to flourish in La Liga? Plus he seems like the kind of player that would get carded 24/7 because of how physical he plays. La Liga is vagina central.

Yeah, the technical side of his game may not fit so well for the clubs that would actually have CL potential like Valencia et al. Though that may be a bit of a problem for every team outside the EPL that has a chance to advance in CL.

However, not sure cards would be a huge issue since they'd only allow Real and Barca to hammer him the way they all do in the EPL. Seems that's what really pisses him off.

I could certainly see him fitting better in Serie A than La Liga though but don't think there's a right team.

Tottenham may be the best of any mentioned so far outside PSG if CL is really such an issue.

He could go to Tottenham and split time with Van Der Vaart or go to Arsenal and split time with Rosicky and Ramsey and Gervinho

Why split when you run the show at Fulham?

Well if he wants CL and to stay in the EPL those would seem like his best options. I just feel like he wouldn't be a good fit at chelsea and then at Pool he'd have to wait at least a year and even it's from a guarantee they'll be in the top 4 then.

Eh, I know a lot of people don't consider themselves "fans" of the heat or Fulham.. they just want them to win outside of their own fandom.

Like.. I'm a hornets fan technically (NBA's not really my thing) but seeing as they are in massive rebuild mode I'm rooting for the Heat over the other big clubs (I'm anti-lebronhate, so I root for him to counteract all the dumbasses).

A great quote that I just had to share with the SB:

quote:

''When you've got Clint in the team you know you've got a chance,'' Fulham captain Danny Murphy said. ''He's been on an unbelievable run of form. He keeps bailing us out. When the ball goes in the box he's usually the first on the end of it, and he got us out of trouble again.''
