Also I want to point out that many of his constituents (Philly) are soccer fans, and that the best player on team USA is from his state. Not only is he a douche, but he's an oblivious one at that.

It doesn't help anyone. Sadly, he probably reflects what a large majority of Americans feel. This group of players did nothing to put notions like that to bed. We are still a minority, as Americans who love this sport.
