They both suck

I can’t see how keeping nkuku over Joao Felix, even as the third choice, was the right option. He got pushed around and outrun all game
With no striker, I put CP up top, and let Nkuku make runs off of him. Neto goes left, James goes right.

Hey we may win one! Be hard to blow a 4-0 lead.
If only we could play Southampton every week.

South Hampton is so bad it’s insane. I wouldn’t read much into this. If we’d have lost or tied them I think it would really have been then legit end of some people

Enzo played dime balls, and CP20 was 0-3 on big chances in the 1st half (0-5 on the day).
Still, 4-0 with CP20 still struggling is more than acceptable (even against the Saints).
The EPL is tough.
Villa got their arse handed to them by Palace today (4-1), and that is a legit score line.

Does he come out of this slump this season?
Is it lack of support from teammates.
Tactics.
Just not living up to insane expectations.
I was not able to watch or listen to last few games

No. He is being gifted opportunities. The irony is that if his name was Iackson, he would be being crushed online.

Every manager has issues from time to time getting it right.

3goals in his last 25 attempts falls woefully short. He is in a slump.
I believe it is tied to personnel. Mudryk lept chalk on his cleats. With his speed, and distribution, he has to be marked. That opened up the middle for Jackson and Palmer. Now, with Jackson out as well, he has more work to do. Neto up top seems to be helping matters. As for Nkuku out “wide,” time will tell.
Nonetheless, with only 5 points separating 3rd through 10th, the run in could be interesting.

Villa left it all out there vs Blues so it seems lol

CP20 is obviously pressing and it hurts his finishing

Dude mudryk barely even played because he sucks, why do you act like he was some secret weapon/missing piece

I hate that I’m more like randy and less like Jimmy this season.
Splurge on a striker and a keeper, seems like obvious positions but we SUCK at those rn

I thought that he was playing well prior to the drug test. Again, he was a deemed enough of a threat to cause opposing defenses to shift a little to that side. Maybe it’s because he was simply a speed merchant. The end result was that it left the middle more open. That meant that Jackson and Palmer had a tad more room to work with. At that level, I would imagine that space was something that they desired.

I agree that we need to spend the cash there (and center back).
I will say this, Neto has filled the void left by Jackson. He played the position for Wolves, so he knows when and how to make the runs.

Decent game. First have was a drag. Copenhagen sat back and Chelsea could not get anything going. Biggest event was Gusto leaving early with an ankle injury.
Enzo made half-time substitutions and the second half opened up.
Good work leading up to first goal and nice composed finish from distance from James.
Also nice work and strong finish from Fernandez on the second goal.
Copenhagen's goal came late (80th) from a header off a spot kick. Sanchez could have done more, but I don't think he really had a chance.
Dewsbury-Hall needs to go back to the Championship. He turned the ball over a bunch, didn't make runs, and was the main defensive lapse on Copenhagen's goal.

Reece in the midfield made me leery of the already shaky back line. But he did well. Of course we made it interesting by allowing another f’n late goal.
Maresca is in a tough spot here. Reece played all 90 minutes and he is desperately needed for PL matches to make the top 4. But we need to win this crap tournament in case we don’t make top 4 so we can get into Europa next season. He is going to have to play more guys and gamble on inexperienced players playing important minutes in both competitions.

Palmer misses a PK. Not a good omen.

What is Sanchez doing? Good lord. Lucky there.

Shitty, lifeless half of futbol. Enzo’s style of soccer is boring and predictable. It’s like running a half court offense in basketball- lots of perimeter passes, some movement, but in the end the defense packs it in and doesn’t allow clean shots. Rinse and repeat.
