No Brazilians on Liverpool made the cut. Lucas Leiva and Coutinho miss out.

Is this the first time an MLS player has ever been called up to a top seed World Cup team?

Not surprising.

But really, is Willian one of the best 23 Brazilians in the world?

MLS didn't exist until a couple years after the World Cup, so it couldn't have been 1994.

Columbia was NOT seeded for 1998.

He was pretty damned good for Chelsea over the last two months - certainly better than Oscar was.

Who was the Brazil striker with blue hair a few years back? Was it Jô?

I think that his claim to fame is sharing the same field as Freddy Adu during the U20 World Cup

Pretty shocked at Coutinho missing out. Certainly better than Ramires, right?

Either way, that team is sick. That back line is pretty daunting.

How could I forget a name like that? I just Wiki'd him, still plays for a Chinese team. A Chinese team that has a nearly all Brazilian coaching staff.

Yea that's surprising

I've even seen some people say he should probably start over Julio

He's had a good year, and he's a penalty kick master

Scolari kind of does his own thing, so I'm not too terribly surprised, and I know literally nothing about the other two goalkeepers (though, I think Jefferson might have played in the Olympics--I was wrong, but his name sounds familiar) beyond what was posted in this thread, so it's hard to comment overall. Still, pretty hard to believe that he wouldn't even make the team

That's a ridiculous amount of talent.

Just reading through the defenders is amazing.
