Another thing that really does worry me is how does this affect team chemistry. I mean all of the veterans loved Landon and knew what he brought to the table. On top of that, it just becomes a huge distraction to the team as the media will be asking the 23 that made it questions about a guy that didn't for the next few days.
This is a huge risk that JK is taking here and he is basically risking that by choosing Brad Davis over Donovan.

Don't think anyone said you're a bad American soccer fan either.
Not in reference to you. Some other poster told me this afternoon I was a bad fan because I didn't think Donovan was going to be a serious difference-maker in Brazil. So I let the guy be right.

It was a legitimate question.
And I think I gave you a legitimate answer. I'm a youngin' who loves Tim Howard more than Landon Donovan and will buy a Johannsson jersey sometime soon. I also have poor taste in favorites in the eyes of 98 percent of this board.

agreed. and also, people are saying that landon in brazil would be a distraction? why? so this guy who is laid back and quiet and all that shite (which many are touting as part of the reason he isnt going to brazil) is suddenly gonna turn into some hot headed, all about me player bitching about playing time? get outta here

But Klinsmann has made this World Cup about himself (and his brass balls and how he "shakes up the status quo" or whatever bullshite he tells himself), which is something a coach shouldn't do under any cirucmstance.
No, he did his job. Crybaby fans like you made it about Jurgy.

Who was saying this and what was their reasoning? Because that literally makes no sense.

Is there a figurative version of the phrase "makes no sense?"
Posted on 5/22/14 at 11:51 pm to Broski
it's not some majority but a couple people basically said what i said in regards to his being in brazil with pressure on JK to play him and him not being ok with not starting. shite like that.

I take it you are the one that said bringing LD to Brazil would be a distraction?

Now we've got a thread on our hands.

Looks at his son's glee. Look at all of his bullshite public callouts in the past. Or just bury your head in the sand like an ostrich.

Complete conjecture. You (like the rest of us) have no idea if they love him or not. The quotes from Bradley and Howard were simply media speak. What are they supposed to say when asked about Landon? That he looks fat and slow? No, that is for us to say on a message board.

I will never understand why Twitter turns people into absolute idiots. What made him think that tweet was ok or even a smart move? Is humanity really that stupid? Because it seems to happen a lot.

And for god's sake, saying "he's one of our top one or two players" is not media speak.

That was stupid by his son. But don't blame Jurgy for that as well.

one thing is if someone picks up an injury which very well can happen Donovan should be brought in. I wouldn't say it is over yet.

It seems to tell a lot about how his dad thought about Donovan. Why else would a 17 year old kid from California who plays competitive soccer mock a national team player?
One of my best friends is the son of a very prominent coach. He's a very bright guy and about 15 years older than Klinsmann's kid, so he's not posting shite on Twitter but all of his opinions on the sport are a result of what his father thinks (X is a good coach, Y is a cheater, Z can only recruit, etc).
