If we could get him and Hazard that would be sweet. I'm afraid that we will be priced out of Hazard though with the hype he is getting.

Soccernet has an interview with Lehmann where he pretty much says he'd come out of retirement to be an emergency back up keeper. I hope Wenger does that because Shea scares me.

Have you seen him play before? I know he was on loan at Southampton earlier this season, but he comes in as fairly unheralded.

I have not seen him play, but I've only read negative comments about him. Maybe I've been looking in the wrong places.

Yeah, the youth keeper Damien Martinez I've heard good things about, but I don't think Shea will make it here.

Yeah that's the general consensus I've read.
To be honest, I had kind of forgotten about Henri Lansbury. I think he can contribute next season. Having a good loan spell at Norwich.

Yeah he's a player who is most definitely at the fringe of the first team. He could be a Ray Parlour type. I'm praying a lot of our youth players make it here so we can afford to spend some in the future.

Well, if we had bought a CB back in January we might still have a chance at the prem (though still not great). We aren't winning anything with Squielny though.

Some interesting quotes from ex-Gunner Emmanuel Petit.
LINK
Ramsey
quote:
"Players are playing against their nature a bit," he said. "Barca play exceptional football and from an early age they teach the boys the same way.
"That's not the case with Arsenal. There are players we've known for a while who are playing against their nature. I'm thinking of lads like Abou Diaby, whose physical impact is a bit less. There are players who try to play in the image of Cesc Fabregas when they don't have the same qualities."
quote:
He added: "There seems to be a curse around the club at the moment. Arsenal's key players seem to be cracking up.
"You get the impression that some psychological work will need to be done on Fabregas. His recent performances have been below his usual standard. He seems to have a complex over his former club Barcelona."

I was really glad to see Aaron play. Once we secure CL qualification, I hope he gets some more playing time. Any word on if we're going to recall Bartley?

Djourou was tested in Switzerland yesterday and it appears that his injury isn't as severe as first thought. He might only be out a month. Per a soccernet article.

Hopefully that is the case, because in that time span heck even 6 total weeks, Arsenal really only faces Liverpool and Tottenham who we would absolutely need him for.
If he is only out for one month and can somehow make it back for the Tottenham fixture then I would be so happy, but I don't want to rush him back so long as he can make it back for the rematch against ManU.

fricking Beowulf!!!!! Is the sponsor on the back of the training kit actually named Dong?
Great find.

Did I just hear that correctly, Wenger says Djourou out for 6 weeks?
With just a dislocated shoulder
Welp, I had hopes he would be back for the Spurs match, and for certain the Man U match.

It wouldn't be the first kit sponsor with a funny name:

rumors swirling about Clichy's contract extension stalling. if it's true, then, shite I hate to see him go because he has had good seasons, but his form has been too scattershot over the last 2. I think we could upgrade given the possibility that we're willing to spend.
