So apparently Wolfsburg and Barcelona are after Denilson? fricking weird. I hope he goes and we buy Yann M'vila or Moussa Sissko. And Mamadou Sakho.

If selling Denilson to Barca would make them give up on buying Cesc, I say we give him to them for free.

Although he's hurting for playing time now, it could be even worse when Rambo gets back from loan.

Interesting development in our ownership saga.

Usmanov plans to up ownership stake to 29.9%

I wonder what will come from this Usmanov/Kroenke rivalry...

As long as that beautiful Russian bastard douses our bank account with cash.

“Overall the injury situation looks quite positive,” Wenger said. “We think Thomas Vermaelen can return in January. Abou Diaby is back in full training.

some good quotes in here

Havard Nordtveit eyes M'bach, dop dop dop M'bach doobeedopdop M'bach move
(sorry, couldn't resist a terrible Hanson pun...who can?). Frustrating to watch one of our prospects get sold off again.

I had high hopes for Nordtveit when we bought him. Guess he didn't really have it though. I'm not too upset with he or Merida's departure except for both got my hopes up.

Vermaelen out until late January

I don't think he'll ever be healthy this season.

Also, interesting to see that former Arsenal chairman David Dein lost out on the FA chairman position. Quite the upset.

Another tought test today. Not looking at the Chelsea game to mean much since we beat a weakened, mentally checked-out side. A real sign of maturity and 'getting over the hurdle' is to now beat the midtable teams like Wigan, especially when we start squad rotation (which I assume is likely to happen, but I was wrong about it during the Champion's League, so who knows).

If we can keep N'Zogbia and Rodallega in check then they hardly have a chance of scoring (also being wary of Tom Cleverly). Need Arshavin to assert himself if he gets the start today.

I think your right. A lot of the bench should get a start today. Rosicky, Arshavin and Chamakh. Im gonna guess they start over Wilshere or Cesc, Walcott and RVP respectively.

I think beating Chelsea gives us more of a confidence boost then anything. Our side looked very ... I dont know how to describe it, but ManU was a bad game and the chelsea win brought a lot of confidence to the side. It was good to see that Cesc and RVP look in good form. Nasri looked really good out on the left and that Walcott looked his proper dominant explosive awesome self that he hasnt had in a little while. I think its fair to say chelsea have a lot of problems, but dont discredit what our side did.

Low, I would think. But since we won't have Wellington Silva for 3 years later than expected, we may see left winger depth as a need area, but a low priority need. I would love it, but I just don't see it happening any time soon, especially since Arsenal rarely plays very many 'true wingers' anymore, which seems to be the player Hazard is based on what I've read.

edit: Miyachi records sprint time just fractionally slower than Walcott -- ma'frickas fast, yall

oh ye fragile and battered gooner souls, fear not, we have most of our big away games behind us, plus done with chelsea. it's almost january, and I'm fairly confident we will see a CB purchase. We still have about 19 League games. That's a huge amount of time to make up ground and we're not even far off the top.

I was happy to see ManU draw against a weaker side thinking Arsenal could catch up 2 points of ground only for us to draw against a weaker club as well.

Center back signing this coming month in the transfer window is an absolute must.

Who can we sign, within reason? I think players like Mertesacker and Sakho are out of our reach. I suppose we could recall Bartley from Sheffield United? He's a future star in my opinion. We've been linked to Christopher Samba. I'd go for him. He's a giant player, so we could afford to pair one of our smaller CB's with him when Djourou needs a rest. He doesn't fit in with our passing style very well though, but I don't think that should be a serious consideration if Wenger thinks he can shore up the D.

It is so painful, I just watched a match review and basically every fault is due to the Center Half's, which everyone knows. They are such a burden they not only give up plenty of goals, but cost goals on the attack as well.

Eboue has signed a contract extension according to Arsenal.com. I like it. He's a useful utility/bench player.

Excellent. If he does move on eventually, at least we can get a fee. He's worth at least £7 million. A starter at RB for most teams in the world.

We do need an RB for the future since we haven't developed one. I kinda hope we get Adam Matthews from Cardiff, who I think is out of favor at the moment, but who knows.
