this is sorta awesome

I wish american sports culture practiced the art of creating songs for your players and singing them together, drunk and en masse.

In college it would have been fun singing songs about Jamarcus "Sizzurp" Russell, Demetrius "AIDS Dick" Byrd, and Ryan "I'm Generally A Bad Person" Perrilloux.

Next year's jersey, supposedly:

I like

wow, thanks for that. Pretty damn insightful stuff. Too bad it doesn't help any of my worries about the CB's though

also, that video is so depressing. It seems every crossed ball, set play, and aerial challenge give us fits. That and witnessing all the keeper errors leave me feeling sick

That was an interesting read. I still feel like we need to add a CB though.

Nasri says he likes the fans' new song for him.

My dream:

Pairings...........................Mins...Goals...Mins/goal
Vermaelen + Mertesacker...1000.......3......333.3

Also, Fabianski has played astonishingly well over the last two months. He always had the ability, but the stupid mistakes that used to happen regularly have been absent lately, knock on wood.

i would love to have mertesacker

Squillaci and Koscielny have always been scary to watch for me.

I think Fabianski has grown alot

I would love Mert as well, that would drastically improve our woes on defending aerial and crossed balls.

No new injury concerns ahead of the game against Manchester City. Kieran Gibbs back in full training today

Silva and Balotelli out for City

Arsenal most assists in 2010: Fabregas & Arshavin 13 each, Wilshere 7, Nasri 6, Bendtner 5

Arsenal Top Scorers in 2010: Nasri 14, Cesc & Bendtner 13 each, Walcott 12, Arshavin 11

Al Hleb makes things super awkward for himself at B'ham after admitting he wants an Arsenal return

Dennis Bergkamp named Ajax youth team head coach

No official quotes or links, but it seems like a certainty that Vela will be loaned out. Arsene says it depends on where he can find starting time. Not so sure that would be Bolton, the team being mentioned the most.

Lee Bowyer handed three-match ban for stamp on Sagna.

Do yall think Theo will start against City? They're not a team that will leave much space so I'm wondering if Arshavin will get the go ahead since his attacks are a little more direct.

That was super awkward. I seriously doubt he'll ever be back at Arsenal so he needs to lower his expectations. McLeish is right, he needs to step up for B'ham before he thinks of going back up the football ladder.

Well I seriously doubt Arsene will make the same wholesale changes he made last week, but I bet they'll be a sub or two. Chamakh for RvP will be one because we're going to be cautious with him. Sadly, I think the same can be said about Djourou. Walcott will probably start, but I feel like Arshavin could take advantage of a Boateng or Richards lapse in concentration.

After his wholesale changes he admitted that he would like to do just 2 or so here and there, i.e the two you mentioned, but since the short time between games he did a bunch. Since that is not a problem here I expect those two to be the only changes.

Holy shite it could mean a lot of things. It could mean that we are starting Eastmond or JET or something. Or maybe even Ramsey.

There's no way we could sign a new player and have him available for tomorrow unless Cahill or another PL guy was in London as we speak getting a physical, so I doubt it's that.

Eastmond, JET, and Ramsey wouldn't be considered new, plus Wenger has said Ramsey will need more time. Could it be Afobe (can't remember if he's still at Huddersfield) or Aneke? Somebody who hasn't gotten a first team opportunity yet? Surely Ryo wouldn't be put in the first team yet. He's our only new player so far, but I thought he was still a few years off.

Actually I bet the new player is Ryo Miyaichi. It would be just like Wenger to throw him into the fire.

At HT for a couple more days. Hopefully will have his loan extended.

or Aneke?

Looks like a beast of a player. 6-3 with serious ball skills and passing ability. It could be him.

Ramsey

Ramsey played a full 90 for Nottingham Forest Monday and just got back to Arsenal. I'd have to seriously question Wenger's sanity if he put him in the squad.
