Hand of Arsenal says we can still land Alvarez but that it may involve Big Vik going the other way :(

Hmm. Interesting.

Not sure how he fits unless we get some other runners on the wings. Hes a bit more of a Jesus archetype as far as playmaking goes.

Dude is a shooter though. I appreciate where Vik as come from this season though

You don't really see swap deals. It would be better on the books to get a fee for a player. So sell Gyokeres for $50 million vs just swapping plus cash. It also better for the selling club to receive the $100 mil transfer fee vs $50 mil.

Vik was kind of nasty on the wing for Sweden the other day. I was impressed. I just don't want to lose his profile. We don't win the title without him bullying some of these teams. He frequently provided the much needed second goal in a game to kill it. We struggled with that the past few years.

Am I the only one who doesn't really want Rogers, especially if he's meant to be the Left Wing replacement?

Well I guess it's possible we move Odegaard. He was so good yesterday that I don't think I would be okay with that.

So essentially youd have Rogers and Eze for your attacking mid roles and still get a different left winger.

I just don't see how we can do some of these moves without a lot of outgoings. We already didn't have room for every player this past season.

And I thought Leo was Belgium's best player. The rest of his team were shockingly bad. So, if we do sell him, we need to someone with the close control trickery that can play out there.

My assumption with all of these potential moves are that we will move to a more fluid front 3/4 so they are looking for lots of dribbly, press resistant, 2 football ball strikers.

At least it seems like that is where the game is going. Would think we see less of the wingers standing on the touchline holding width next year.

Guess we'll see

Pretty nuts we got him for about 35M pounds. I had seen the deal be as high as 50M previously

Yeah, I thought the option was like 54 or something, which was pretty high.

I like Rogers a lot but not for the reported 100 million fee.

I don’t want to see Gyokeres go.

Still think I we hold on to Martinelli he needs more shifts as an out and out CF.

Also, Ancelloti been kinda running him as a faux midfielder/ss which is interesting.

Won the game today for Brazil

Definitely intriguing seeing him centrally for Brazil. He took out Paqueta in the midfield the previous 2 games and Cunha at center forward today.

He seems to know more than me, haha.

He likes to use a 4-4-2 or variations of it. I was thinking you can easily play Martinelli on the left and Vini inside. But Vini pushed out to the touchline and Martinelli stayed inside when he came on. Worked out.

Oh and Leo has been Belgium's best player.

I keep thinking we do need an upgrade, but how many players out there truly would be an upgrade on those 2? Yeah, I know Martinelli wasn't great in the league for GA, but he was in the champions league. I think the only wingers that scored more than him were Diaz and Kvara.

Looking at Barcola, his CL stats are 2 goals and 4 assists.

Leo had 1 goal and 5 assists.

Martinelli had 6 goals and 2 assists.

How is that really an upgrade with output?

Martinelli scored the most important league goal of the season and his assist and absolute hustle on Dowman’s goal against Everton means I want him.
