What you guys think of the Bruno G rumors?

I'd take him in a heartbeat over Tonali. Dream scenario is we sign Bruno and Bouaddi. Let Bouaddi stay at Lille for a year.

I like him as an all phases #8. He's a great passer.

Him & MLS

Rice/Zubi

Is a really solid rotational CM unit

As a side note, I'll be sad for our guys on the England team if they bow out this round, but will be extremely happy for the them to have the next 2 months off

Bouaddi is nasty. I'd go up to 80 mil for him. 60 if we loan him back

I think this is what Lille actually want. 80 to take him now but will go 60 if you loan him back.

We can get a player for now to retain the Pl, and one for the future.

Boy Fernandes for 85, Tonali for 93, and Anderson for 115 makes Rice for 105 the transfer of the century. Good lord

MLS in midfield saved us a boatload of money

Rice was a good signing. Letting Kane go for £100 was a steal.

I'm not saying Spurs are ruining anything, mostly ruminating on the state of Transfers in general.

I mean Goncalo Ramos went for 65+

Chelsea, PSG, City, etc have contributed mightily to the state of current affairs.

Feel like the plot has been lost in general. teams no longer try to find talent early and let them grow (due to incessant need to win now) and so everyone just waits for mid table or lower league clubs to discover all the talent, and then make a 500+% return on investment 2 years (or less later)

Yeah I didn’t mean you were. My bad on the lack of clarity.

Transfer inflation has been a thing in recent years. Can blame the Saudis as well

I haven't seen anything saying spurs are ruining anything.

I did see an article saying city is. Because now Villa values Rogers more than Anderson.

So if anything they just set the market for midfielders.

This is the kind of stuff we are missing on. I mentioned this guy back earlier in the year. 20ishM and if/when he performs well, he'll be a 80-100M guy in a year or 2.

I know there is need to win now, and maybe we did try (not specifically him) and they want more playing time, but these are the kind of moves you have to make (or find earlier) if you want to be sustainable.

I just don't see how this endless cycle of spending 300,400 or 500M every summer is sustainable

Welp looks like we're going to get beat to Monga and Saliba needs surgery. Lovely

ETA: And the CB from PSG youth is headed elsewhere now.

Damn

So long sweet prince. Happy we got over the line this year with presumably a bunch of guys leaving.

Now he can finally get some sleep. (Glad he’s gone, we feared him more than Martinelli)

Gonna miss that little raccoon. Club cult hero. So much fun watching him. The most unexpectedly great player I've ever seen. Technically excellent. Will be a huge loss

Probably one of the best attacking signings we've ever made. Had a goal contribution for every 146min played for his time at Arsenal.

Bought for 27M will sell 4 years later for 17ish
