Didn’t kepa start last season? Does he really want to come play some league cup games?

Ø with an assist today against Italy. 3 chances created, 4/4 long balls. Good performance from the captain

Saw his highlights. Looks like his old self.

He must have really struggled with that ankle injury and is just now feeling better.

It’s good business he’ll be a solid backup for Raya

Yeah, started for Bournemouth. Chelsea trying to cut ties I imagine. They’ve got like 80 players in u-21s/loans/first team

Looking at his stats he’s actually better than half the league’s goalkeepers.

I’m actually glad we decided to go this route than the Garcia route. 5 million is really nothing in today’s market. The Tavares deal pays for this.

Yeah I would’ve liked to get Garcia since Arteta wanted him last year and he seems to be the next generational type keeper but realistically unless he just lights the world on fire he’d be our backup a minimum of 2 seasons, and that’s not best for his career or our budget. Kepa is a very experienced keeper and only £5m, it’s a no brainer of a deal. Should provide a really good backup/rotation option for the cup games.

Ø looking good again today. Wasn’t credited with the assist but made a fantastic run and laid it off for Haaland. Hopefully with the addition of Zubi and some much needed rest later this summer Odegaard will be back to his best this coming season. Just need Arteta to trust that Zubimendi can start the buildup from the back instead of Ø having to drop so far back

Been some rumblings of Partey still hasn’t agreed to contract, and this just came out from an interview with a Ghanaian newspaper:

quote:

Thomas Partey on Arsenal new deal - "The most important thing is being happy where you play." " At this stage of my career, my next move must balance ambition, family, and security." "I’m an Arsenal fan too, but it’s up to the club, my agent, and me to decide. For now, I just want to enjoy my football,"

Lucien Agoume (Sevilla) is thought to be a backup option.

I wouldn’t be super upset with the SA allegations still out there

The rumors of other clubs coming in is most likely because RB wants Arsenal to hurry up.

Noticed this guy mentioned that.

Dont need to be a transfer insider to come to these conclusions.

Unless you are getting, I become Saudi Prince money, no need to frick off to Saudi in your early twenties when you can go play in London and still be rich.

Im pretty confident we will sign Zubi, Kepa and Sesko. The others I have no idea.

Liverpool closing in on Wirtz for 125M. More than we’ve spent on attackers in like 10 years.

Please upgrade the attack. I’m hoping for 3 if I’m being honest

Nico Williams
10 La Liga goals combined the last two seasons. He is not an upgrade over our current left-wing options imo.

Yep. And he doesn't have the responobilities on defense that Arteta demands from the position. Martinelli went the full 90 last night for Brazil.

He was very active in that spain game. He usually looks good for spain. But was lacking the end product. Just reminds me of what we have already.

He can run around and not score. We need to up the goal tally.

I guess the issue is, the perfect player may not be available. And if we don't get Rodrygo, then it's basically take your pick of good not great wingers.

Arsenal may have to realize that this player isn't exactly who they want but can't afford to go into the season short at forward just because you didn't get the guy who was the perfect fit.

lol, im already ready for this saga to be over.

Just a note on transfers: the window is closed again until Monday, weird.

I prefer Rodrigo over Williams, but it’s been clear over the last few windows that Arteta loves him.

I’m a fan of whoever we can bring in and provide depth an attacking options.

If we continue to play with touchline wingers, Williams is perfect for that, and can play either side when Saka needs a break.

Rodrygo is move of the inside winger, that needs someone overlapping him. We just haven’t been playing that way (the last time we did 22/23 was coincidentally Martinelli’s career year because he works best from there as well)

I’m fine with either, but it would be nice to add a LB that can bomb down the wing and be that overlapper, just to give options for whoever plays LW

I don’t know if we get Williams. He seems more set on staying in Spain.
