Nice productive match. Sanchez, Walcott, and Ozil all continuing their goal scoring ways. Cazorla playing well. Got some players some rest, got Perez on the pitch and he provided 2 assists. Would have liked Ozil to get some rest, Sanchez to have come off a bit earlier, and Xhaka to get a start because of the recent red card.
Another shutout for the defense as well, looks like Arsenal have a pretty solid defense this season. Hopefully Kos/Mustafi, Ozil, Sanchez, anyone who's been playing a ton of minutes lately gets a rest against Reading.

Coquelin played amazing. His past couple of performances combined with xhaka's Swansea performance means that position is Coq's going forward to be fair

If only Coq could develop a bit more offensively, and Xhaka screw his head on a bit better. Xhaka's long range passing, and ability to shoot well are huge in breaking down a defense. I am happy with both, having that depth provides you with the option to choose who to play depending on the opposition.

Ozil looks like he's playing FIFA on amateur.
Any idea why Xhaka didn't start? He's suspended for the next few league games so why not play him to help with rotation, wear, and tear, etc.?

Arsenal are playing lights out right now. Depth is unlike we have seen for a VERY long time.
I really love this team and expect a deep run in three competitions.

He is 100% meaning to bounce some of the volley's off the ground right?

i'm pretty sure he actually is. Can't say for certain but i'm sure they practice that shite and it's very effective.

quote:Yes, hitting it into the ground like that results in a much greater chance of the ball being on target. The ball tends to rise, and thus go over the goal, unless you hit it perfectly.

Ozil has been masterful this season. So fun to watch when he is on.

so apparently cazorla did get hurt right before he got subbed off. Not sure the extent of the injury.
With Xhaka suspended i suppose that mean elneny would get a start alongside Coq.

I really wish Ramsey would come back too. I'd like to see him work in this team. Against lesser sides at home I think he'd do well with the movement of our front three.

Yeah it would be nice if he could at least get some time off the bench Saturday to get him back in the swing. But i guess he's just not quite there yet.

New Orleans airport just announced non-stop flight from N.O. to London.
Finally might have to make it to the Emirates for a trip. Gotta convince the wife to do England.

Yeah that's awesome.

Great news on the flights..
In the last seven matches in all competitions arsenal are 7-0. With five clean sheets and a goal differential of +20.
That my friends is absurd.

yeah. not to mention we havent lost any competition since opening day when we were sitting 3-4 key players either due to euro 2016 or mustafi not being on the club yet.
i caught a little snippet from espnfc where steve nicol predicted PSG to win the group. I really have no problem with that prediction other than i don't agree with it. But you could just tell he is so anti arsenal he wasn't giving a legitimate opinion, just a spoiled brat version. I got a good chuckle from it.

Another interesting bit of information is that through twelve matches last year, Arsenal had scored 15 goals. This year the total is at 32. That is a fantastic increase.

I just never want it to end. I've enjoyed this season so much minus Pool of course. I may be wrong but it feels different this year. I feel we have the maturity within the squad to be serious contenders for the league.
