No big deal. These kinds of games happen all the time in every league. We do need Giroud for just this match to win a set piece.
But we were lucky to get a point at all thanks Petr.

It was a match of keepers. Both made great saves and the point was a fair result for both teams.

So first of all I'm thoroughly enjoying Jose Mourinho's second consecutive decapitulation.
Second, team news:
Second, team news:

on the latest team news… Cazorla will not be available, but it looked after the game that apart from some tired legs and disappointed minds, we had nothing else to declare.
on Giroud and Ramsey… I think Olivier will be included, but for Aaron it is too early although he is back in full training now.
on his squad against Reading… It will be a similar squad to against Nottingham Forest. We will have Gabriel, Holding, Jenkinson will be back and will play. Jeff Reine-Adelaide will play, otherwise I think Iwobi, Lucas, Oxlade-Chamberlain will also play. Gibbs - who captained the team at Forest - will do it again on Tuesday.

Not pissed at result, these games happen.

The depth is crazy good.
And while the red was not good, Xhaka is big, physical, intimidating, and can pass.
I hope Arsene doesn't keep him in the dog house and buried on the bench.
That would be a mistake.

Will there be a video stream of the game anywhere?

Check Reddit soccer streams

Ox has looked sharp today. Probably because he is reunited with Jenko(love the bromance). Hopefully he can build off of this performance.

Holding impressed me once again. At this point I rate him higher than Gabs.

I thought Jenko did really well yesterday, I can't wait to see him play more. Hope he can get a lot more than the occasional cup matches

Holding and Jenko were both good yesterday. Competition wasn't the best. I know some people wanted to get rid of him but I like the guy and think he is a solid backup option at right back. Plus, he loves the shite out of the club so I will never doubt his motivation to work hard for the team.

No question. I've always liked Jenko and his loan spell at WHU was very good for him.

Yeah, he's a solid backup that's performed pretty good imo. I don't get why people wanted to get rid of him, lifelong fan of the club so he'll always give it 110%.
I'm just glad we have *knock on wood* squad depth. Jenko & Bellerin are both pretty young, would be great to have them here for several years

Arsenal draw Southampton at home for the quarters.
Will be a tough game, but it wasn't the toughest draw possible.
I'll be curious to see if we play a more robust line-up in the quarters or if we continue to see lots of youth.

Doubt we see a strong lineup bar the final. Wenger usually doesn't prioritize the league cup.

Reports that Lucas will be out until December.

That's a bummer. What is the injury? I didn't see the 2nd half yesterday.
