Was this really Wenger's excuse for losing to a team of teenagers?

4th place. Out in CL Round of 16. Wash. Rinse. Re fricking peat.

Seriously though. Thanks for everything Arsene Wenger. You guided the club to tons of success and navigated the choppy waters of a new stadium. Your consistency and loyalty will never be forgotten.

Now do the right thing and let someone else take the club to the next level.

This is on him. How many times has he flat out overplayed players? Did it with cazorla, Ramsey when back from injury, Giroud, and Sanchez. And those players break down and oh, have no one good enough to play behind them.

This was supposed to be our year. Instead we piss it all away. Its only going to be harder from here on out. City has Pep, Man U and Chelsea are going to bring in new managers and will spend big money, and Spurs have a young and talented squad. If we don't show any ambition soon Ozil and Alexis will leave us.

Leceister will win the league, and those 3 clubs and possibly Arsenal will finish behind Tottenham. What are they doing about it? changing managers and will spend big on players. What will Arsenal do? Nothing.

We were supposed to be better this year. We have the same number of points this year as we did this time last year. 15-6-6. Exact same record.

I hate to say it but I think the title is going to be out of our hands now.

Between this board and listening to Arsecast, I've seen a lot about people being frustrated with Alexis and Walcott/Welbeck not attacking the shaky, young fullbacks. I agree with this, but I was most frustrated with our inability to get the ball to them on a consistent basis. I don't know what was different yesterday, but I have never seen Arsenal struggle with a (non-Barca) high press like that before. Even when the game was in the closing minutes, it took forever to get the ball past the center circle. I don't know if we've missed Santi more this season than we did yesterday. I actually think Arteta may have helped more than Ramsey yesterday. I will also admit I am not sure how much of the blame falls on Ozil, Alexis, Theo, and Welbeck to come back to receive the ball. The whole game just seemed so disjointed.

Reports are that Cazorla could miss the rest of the season. Just great.

If we end up letting Spurs win the league this year Wenger needs to just step down.

If we don't win the league this year he should step down regardless. If we can't win it this year, we will never win it again with Wenger.

Stop the doom and gloom. Santi is back on April 1.

Arsenal are going to play great today and then we will see about Saturday.
